Stock motor, SpecilatyZ clutch and Flywheel, OSGiken LSD w/stock gear.

We know the car will most likely ice skate down the strip but we have a pretty good driver. He has gone 8.4 in the 1/4 mile and can drive a stick better than anyone I know. He is like Ice Man!

In addition to the proper videos and pictures I am going to take at the dyno today, i am also going to film with my I Phone. This way i can post it to facebook immediately.

Stay tuned...

Thanks, Tony

Sounds great can't wait for tonight!

mfeinst 02-07-2013 04:41 PM

Aww man, I got rid of my Facebook. :/

Footloose301 02-07-2013 05:34 PM

Did you go back to MySpace?

F.I. Inc. 02-07-2013 05:35 PM

Update,

The car started up great. Effortless! It idled smooth and the 2.5" exhaust is very quiet. Took a video of he start up but Facebook apparently does not want to cooperate with the upload.

Should have some numbers within a few hours. Stay tuned, it looks like it is going to be a late night.

Thanks, Tony

For those that aren't following FI on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/FastIntentions)

Tony just posted a picture of the car strapped down on the dyno.

Stupid company laptop doesn't let me get onto FB

Update,

Just finished dyno testing the full 2.5" set up. The fuel pressure is dropping in the high end and we are going to sort that out. Here is what we have so far.

91 Octane:
469 RWH
382 FT LBS of Torque
Roughly 7-7.5 PSI

The boost is fluctuating between 6-7.5 LBS. We are currently running it on strictly wastegate spring pressure with no boost controller.

The timing is conservative because we only have 91 Octane and do not want to detonate, obviously!

Currently we are strapping the car down and testing it with stock cats and the full 2.5" CBE. Not expecting big numbers in this form and we are strictly doing it out of curiousity and to apease the community.

After this is complete we will take the full exhaust off and slap on the full 3". At that point it will get tested again tonight on 91 octane. Tomorrow once we can troubleshoot the slight fueling issue, we will turn the boot up on VP Motorsport 103 octane.

Here is what we can take away from this so far. At this PSI level we are not even close to utilizing the potential of what the GTX 28-67 turbo can do! The innercooler setup is proving to be extremely effiecent. After 13 runs we in fact made more power every time. The innercooler is not heat soaking and the IAT's (Inlet Air Temps.) are holding steady in the low 80's. The boost is ramping in fast and hard. The curve is very usable in the low end and mid range.

I will keep you posted shortly with another update.

Thanks, Tony

That is with straight Test Pipes. We just completed the stock cat runs. Here are the numbers.

91 Octane
431 RWH
355 FT LBS of torque
6.5-7.2 PSI

Still very respectable for stock cats! Again, no boost controller. Just straight wastegate spring pressure.

G37Sam 02-08-2013 01:38 AM

Congrats Tony! These are some sick numbers!

F.I. Inc. 02-08-2013 01:54 AM

Update,

No 3" tonight. Got shut down by Johnny law. Too much noise, too late in the evening. Will get back at it tomorrow. As of now it looks like we are going to make the track Saturday!

Stay tuned...

Thanks and goodnight.

Tony

What fuel pressure gauge do you have ?

asdfsammich 02-08-2013 02:31 AM

Damn! This is a hell of a good show!

Tapatalk & such etc

bfowlzr33 02-08-2013 09:02 AM

havent watched the video yet because of work but anyway ive been trying so hard to hold off on ANY other mods until i see the cost of this kit!!! i have a feeling it will go for more than the GTM turn key kit though..

blackonorange 02-08-2013 10:06 AM

The new GTM 16g turn key is only like 6300 :o

blackonorange 02-08-2013 10:08 AM

Really interested in what fuel pressure system you used

jpritche 02-08-2013 10:09 AM

Any plans to use a Boost Controller?

Zat_Zuma 02-08-2013 10:12 AM

Call me Toni as I had the same problem with fuel pressure dropping at high RPM and boost levels. Have a few suggestions you can check and a few recomendations you can use to solve them.

Please do share .

F.I. Inc. 02-08-2013 03:06 PM

Update,

Heading back to the dyno after lunch to test the "full 3" exhaust". From there we are loading up in our enclosed trailer and getting set for tomorrow.

Stay tuned...

Thanks, Tony

blackonorange 02-08-2013 03:09 PM

How did you fix the fuel issue or what was the problem

SS_Firehawk 02-08-2013 03:18 PM

I <3 dyno pron

tower74 02-08-2013 03:48 PM

No new numbers with the issues solved?

G37Sam 02-08-2013 04:05 PM

Walbro 400 lph or twin pumps? :D

Mr&Mrs 02-08-2013 05:20 PM

Great numbers so far this is fun!

sylenze 02-08-2013 05:32 PM

was there a baseline whp number for this car? just want to put in context the rwhp that the kit came up with..

SS_Firehawk 02-08-2013 05:56 PM

I would imagine slapping turbo's on the car really changes the delta dynamic. It's more so about efficiency and how said kit builds it's power. It's hamstrung by stock internals. It looks mostly stock in the power mods, well except the turbo kit haha. Guestimate 280-290whp with the G3's (before they were sold)

N8GTOL 02-08-2013 07:09 PM

Awesome progress, Tony!

The kit looks beautiful. The wastegates were not recirculated for these dyno runs, right?

Do you expect a significant drop in hp once the wastegates are recirculated on the 2.5" exhaust?

Looking forward to more updates!

Yes the car put down somewhere in the high 270whp range on the same dyno before the kit was started. I am sure Tony has a sheet somewhere to verify and if not I will have to dig mine up.

Trips 02-08-2013 09:44 PM

Good Progress Tony

Dzel 02-08-2013 11:55 PM
