To the Gentlemen of F.I., beautiful product! I just spent the better part of a week going from page one and love what I see. You have spent a year in development and a year with functional product. Making improvements along the way and taking care of various other things, very busy I can tell.

This question had been asked a couple times early on and has not been addressed. Any progress with the CARB approval process? Are you even seeking it?

I saw terribleone got pulled into the ref station but didn't elaborate on what happened.

lj909,

Thank you for your support. Great question! From day #1 we designed the kit to comply with CARB standards. We are confident that with stock catalytic converters it will! There are a few key components that we are working on in order to make this happen. We hope to have them ready early next year. One major component is the (ETE) Exhaust Transition Elbow. Another key component is a little more top secret! Only reason is to not give away all of our ideas to "the competition" but when it is ready, we will move forward with our plans. That said, CARB is no guarantee. It is public knowledge that getting a TT kit approved by them will be no easy feat. Damn near impossible up to this point. A Supercharger kit would of been a much easier road to travel down. Nevertheless, we will still try.

Thank you
-Tony

lj909 08-31-2014 04:40 PM

Wow a response on Sunday! All us Cali guys highly appreciate your efforts to get that "sticker" otherwise we're left with the Stillen kit and although I like superchargers, I don't think that setup would meet my expectations.

I'm putting away for a forced induction setup and hopefully you guys can achieve CARB approval because your kit is what I want. I like the B.P. kit too but that could never pass smog.

brucelidat 08-31-2014 09:39 PM

Oh man, I better start working extra long hours in case you guys get carb-approved

Clearing up the confusion... The old flyer and old TT kit price "was advertised" with (ETE) Exhaust Transition Elbows. The elbows would start at the V Band flange (back of the turbo) and end in the starting location of the catalytic converters. This said, the elbows are still in development to this day. We are working to have the elbows (included) in the kit and available sometime early next year.

Rest assured, the early buyers in the sale were well compensated for the elbows not being available. Most paid next to nothing for the down pipes and others were compensated in other areas of their build! The customers who jumped on later in the sale were made aware of the elbows not being available prior to locking in the purchase.

I think this should cover it.

Thanks.
-Tony

Cost is not much of an issue. But the MOST important question here is : I would like to purchase the kit this year. Now, like you stated, if there are no elbows available yet, meaning that I cannot use the stock cats or conventional high flow cats at this time ? Then what go in between your turbine outlets and the beginning of the exhaust pipes ? Please clarify . Thank you

Stay low key and you will most likely avoid attracting " flies" out there. I have been there so many time starting from my 96 TT Supra, Porsche 944S and Integra GSR back in the mid 90's. Make your car look more presentable , stay the factory look as much as possible and keep your ears and eyes open at most time when you drive and I think you will be in much less trouble with "John Law " and the state ref. Once you are being referred to the state ref., you are most likely screwed ! Happened to my dear friend with a modded STI

A Sunday update between football games...

We are currently finalizing the production setups for both our FAST-500 and FAST-500E (Ethanol) fuel systems. The FAST-500 performs flawlessly. The hang up from official release is (me.) I need to finish the installation instructions. As for the FAST-500E, it is currently installed on a SpecialtyZ build with our TT Kit. Big things in the works over there. Built engine on the horizon. The other ethanol fuel system currently installed on an in house install we are doing. The 7AT car in from Texas. Fuel system is complete and the car is awaiting other goodies to be completed and running. Our first round of transmission upgrades are implemented. We are finalizing the prototype of our upgraded flex plate (hopefully) this week and hope to have her back together and on the dyno in the next few weeks.

Stay tuned...

Thanks.

While my car was in California with Tony's hands all over it (*coughs*) I watched the F.I. world record run on youtube over and over and over. Well, this isn't the 11's but it is only my second time on the 1/4 mile and I am deeeeeeep in to the 12s. Next time it gets 100 octane. Tony tell Dan I am gunning for him!

I keep hoping for this even within 60 miles of me, but nothing at the couple of new Shell Stations . Go figure, we do have a Tesla fueling station at the Carl's Junior near I40 :ugh2:

That's right, you are in good hands with RT Tuning for the install and tune. James, Vince and the rest of the crew are solid people. Looking forward to keeping it going.

How many miles do you have at that power level now?

I've been pretty good, thanks! And yourself? The Z is incredible, especially with Tony's kit. We'll be in contact in the not-so-distant future, I'm sure. The Mazda3 was great right until I got rid of it -- then the next buyer totaled it :shakes head:

Was fun as hell while it lasted though

Coming up on 10k miles by the end of the month. A set of RE-11s, almost half way through a set of Nt05R drag radials, Some fatass 325/30-19 r888s going on tomorrow.

Enjoying every single mile and every single dollar! I think I am starting to push it harder and harder, daring it to break!

It hasn't stopped, not even one second of downtime, god bless this kit!

Hello Everyone! I wanted to take some time to introduce myself. My name is Kevin, and I am the newest member of Fast Intentions, Inc.

Even though I am the newest guy on Team Fast Intentions, that does not make me the new when it comes to the Nissan 370z community & the VQ37VHR motor. I started out as a customer of Fast Intentions myself many years ago. I bought my TDX exhaust system from them for my 2008 Infiniti G37S coupe, and never imagined back then that I would one day become a part of the team.

Recently, Tony/Danny & I reconnected at a local car show in Woodland Hills, CA. We got to talking about their future business direction; they both have a lot of ideas, and needed some help setting things into action. After about 2 months of discussion, Tony/Danny & I came up with a plan. Fast Intentions, Inc. has brought me in to assist, and eventually lead a major role in all Sales/Marketing & day-to-day Business Operations.

I'm a true automobile enthusiast, no matter what make or model, but I have always had a soft spot for Nissan/Infiniti, as it was my first project car. I would consider myself well versed when it comes to the Nissan 370z & the VQ37VHR motor.

I am very excited to be here and look forward to being able to provide as much support for you guys/gals as possible. If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me directly and I will do my best to personally answer.

Thank you,

- Kevin
