It's in the final stage of R&D. We'll get more info in February.

I'm late to the game as ALWAYS. I'm hella impressed. I haven't seen a turbo that looks so potentially easy to install before. This is the first time i see a turbo kit that I think I might be able to install myself. All questions have been asked and answered on here so the ONLY things I can really say is...

1. Hope those BOV's are LOUD? lol
2. Can't wait to see the first Dyno results :driving:
3. I been waiting for this day a long time and now that the first pics are here. I'm :excited:

The installation will be very straightforward.

1) The BOV's should be fairly loud. Obviously the higher the PSI, the louder they will be.

2) Our plan is to make it to the Dyno either this Friday or early next week.

3) Thank you! There is much more to come.

Tony

Ugghhhhhh... Go up to my post where it says more info in February.

UNKNOWN_370 01-29-2013 09:06 AM

I have a question. Do I really need $5370 of added GTM transmission parts to my 7AT to run this turbo or am i good with just a $1200 clutch kit and $300 transmission cooler?

Good question for Tony

Trips 01-29-2013 06:54 PM

I'd like to ask that any sidebar conversations of the good bad of whatever trans used? Be done out of this thread. This is for Tony to update and answer TT release questions .

Thank you

I'm assuming no plans on making it 50 state legal?

I don't want to speak for Tony, but keep in mind the manifolds end in the stock location. It opens up an entire world for after-treatment devices.

In not to savvy (quite yet) in terms of what it takes to beef up the 7AT. Therefore I cannot comment weather the GTM Transmission package is at a justified price or not. I do however know that the Transmissions they have beefed up can handle some serious torque and power.

That being said, we will be looking into offering our own 7AT options to go along with the TT Kit. We have a great Transmission specialist that has years of experience with high torque/power applications and what it takes to make it all hold together. He has built street and high horsepower strip applications.

Stay tuned...

Thanks, Tony

Will this be offered as a tuner kit and a full kit?

Any discounts on group buys? It is tax refund season. :stirthepot:

We are currently going through the appropriate channels to move forward with smog approval. Once the kit is in production we will have a better idea of what it going to take. The road is very long in the process and smog laws vary from state to state.

Thanks, Tony

Thanks, Tony

Thanks for the reply Tone... You're always on top of things. Will be looking forward to hearing what your transmission guy comes up with.

Gotta love the midwest...Smog approval???:roflpuke2: New cars in Missouri don't have to be inspected for 5 years. So you can run on test pipes with no exhaust and not have to worry....not saying I'm doing that right now or anything.:ugh2:

Manuals don't need the same level of attention. Update clutch, flywheel, throw in a short throw shifter n pulley. Ur good for about $1700.

That's awesome news. It'd be nice to have both the TT kit and the transmission build from the same company. I was thinking over this and felt like it'd be awkward going to GTM for a trans upgrade with FI TT installed XD
Also, maybe get some faster shifts while you're at it?

Huck 01-31-2013 12:04 AM

Tony, once again you have done an amazaballs jobs. I can't wait for the day I can afford this kit and everything else I'm gonna need with it lol

Thanks Tony, I have your exhaust as my only mod so far and still absolutely love it. I've been wanting to go FI, but have been dragging my feet on the only 50 state kit that is available. If you do go through the hassle and get CARB approval it would be worth the wait.

SubSurface 01-31-2013 12:01 PM

Visually, a true master piece! Performance will undoubtedly be as superb.

TheGreatOne 01-31-2013 05:46 PM

Just had to pop in and say how beautiful this is.

I recall the talk last year, nice to see it come together. Knowing the craftsmanship on my F.I. exhaust, it definitely carried over to the TT. Expecting to see great performance also

Put it this way, makes me reconsider my Supercharger plans I had swore off Turbo.

Great work Tony! :tiphat:

tower74 01-31-2013 08:27 PM

Newer Z...Check.
Numbers tomorrow....let's hope
Price of kit......Don't kill my wallet please!

F.I. Inc. 01-31-2013 11:06 PM

UPDATE-

We originally planned to get to the dyno tomorrow. There is a delay on that. Below is our adjusted time line for the next week and a half:

2/1: First start up

2/2-2/4: 3" TT-TDX CBE along with full 3" Down Pipe will be mated to the TT Kit and car.

2/4: SpecialtyZ clutch and Flywheel get installed.

2/6: DYNO DAY @ SpecialtyZ

2/8: Track Day @ Fomoso Raceway

From there I will do my best to give an updated time line. This time line above is subject to change however god willing we will do our best to make it happen!

Thank you, Tony

TerribleONE 02-01-2013 12:25 AM

I keep looking at all the pics. Dreaming and waiting... Still waiting.

F.I. Inc. 02-03-2013 11:27 PM

UPDATE,

We have made good progress over this weekend. The Clutch is in and both exhaust systems are completed with the exception of the 3" Down Pipes. The engine and Trans. are back in the car with the entire TT Kit assembled.

Yes, we are behind from my time line late last week. The car has not fired yet. On tap for tomorrow:

1) Add fluids to the Z
2) Finish 3" Down Pipes
3) Install upgraded limited slip rear differential
4) Install base UpRev tune
5) "FIRE HER UP"

Tuesday:

1) Install the full Amuse body kit
2) Install Volk wheels
3) Perform final checklist

Wednesday:

1) DYNO DAY

In a perfect world everything here should go right. As we all know, this is not a perfect world. At this point we have enlisted a few more bodies to lend a hand to help make this happen. I will try to do another update tomorrow evening.

Thanks, Tony
