So I have question. Can someone kindly let me know who make high quality carbon fiber hoods out there for the 370Z. I don't mind spending up to $1500 for the hood but it needs to be top quality, meaning perfect fitment like OEM with ventilation and finest quality material..... Thank you.

There is no dry carbon fiber vented hood out there that I know of. That's precisely the reason I bought a spare oem hood and modified it. Lighter than any vented hood on the nsrket

The Varis VSDC hood is the closest thing to a vented dry carbonfiber hood available for the 370z but no where near $1500.

Seibon.

They don't make a dry vented. Theirs are all wet layup and heavier than stock. Of course if you don't care about that they do have good fitment and finish generally

I believe amuse has a dry carbon vented hood, but it's probably 4-5x more than $1500. Not worth it unless you are made of gold.

and here is Varis VSDC in case you were wondering

I didn't weigh my Fugimura hood, but just in holding them both during the install I could not tell any noticeable difference. Unless you are going to make the Z a dedicate race car I'm not sure the weight difference is that big a deal in a hood at the whp we are running. The biggest deal is to get heat out of the engine bay in an efficient manner.

True. Most guys upgrade to 20" wheels and that has a much bigger impact on performance than the weight a hood would

Go check out vented hood thread. This is my hood. Seibon. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15...20134a8e23.jpg

Any dry CF hood will be 2k+ as you see with the JDM hoods being well over that most of the time.
If you do not care to much about weight then Seibon has pretty good quality, I would add in an extra layer of clear or completely paint it as their clear sucks. Modding the OEM hood is a great option, either custom or contact CarbonSignal for their add on hood vents.

I just did a search, for even Seibon's dry CF 370z hood with zero vents (OEM copy) it is $1,800 before shipping.

Who did you email? Sometimes it is hard to catch every notification on IG.

I would suggest you give them a call it will be waaay easier and they will answer every question you have and even give alternatives depending on you goals. Their customer service is pretty damn top notch.

Yup. Tony is da man!

He sent me custom portions of my FI exhaust to help me mate to a competitors turbo kit. Couldn't of asked for a better service experience than FI provided.
