Want to get a few more passes in where it sits. Probably wont turn the boost up. Smarter to play it safe than sorry! Think she has got an 11.3 in her the way she sits. Currently sitting in the stageing lanes waiting out turn.

Thanks, Tony

More auto porn please :excited: F'ing great numbers. Can't wait to see the final numbers.

F.I. Inc. 02-22-2013 05:30 PM

Just backed up our previous 11.498 with an 11.493 @ 124.32

Going back for another run. Turning to boost up ever so slightly.

SS_Firehawk 02-22-2013 05:45 PM

That is pretty consistent. I want to see a run that gets you thrown off now :)

We are trying! Just ran 11.503 @ 125

Hot lapped sitting in the lanes...

F.I. Inc. 02-22-2013 06:57 PM

She bogged hard coming out on the last pass. 1.9 sec 60 FT. Still ran 11.58 @ 125

Lined back up for the last pass of the day for sure. Lanes are closed!

There goes my hope that drag radials will fix my horrible wheel hop issue.

Also, are you using the fuse trick to do burnouts?

We were able to get a few 1.7 60 fts out of the car. At the end of the day though this car would fly with a live axle read end. This IRS is clearly not ideal for drag racing.

The fuse fix, absolutely did it! You also need to do the burnout in 2nd gear. This will eliminate the wheel hop there.

NitrousZ34 02-22-2013 09:46 PM

The fuse fix is to cut the brake lights right?

The fuse fix is so the car does not close the throttle bodies on you while doing the burnout

blackonorange 02-23-2013 01:01 PM

Regarding the fuel issue would running a return system with a fpr fix the problem ? This really scares me

Do you happen to know which fuse it is? Like which number? I have never pulled it, but need to.

So you do the burnout in 2nd gear? No bogging issue with that sticky rubber?

As soon as we get the fuel issue fixed. Right now our #1 priorities are getting that fixed and getting the system up for sale.

Thanks, Tony

Update,

I am currently putting a video together from all of yesterday. I will get it up as soon as I can.

F.I. Inc. 02-23-2013 06:58 PM

Update,

Yesterday we took the Twin Turbo prototype back out to the drag strip in hopes to improve upon our previous time of 11.80 from 2 weeks earlier. We succeeded that goal and eclipsed the previous E.T. record of 11.75!

There is a lot footage from yesterday and there is much more to follow. For now we have put together a video for you all below.

The first run was an in car GoPro focused on the boost controller. We made a peak boost of 9 psi on this run. This was the world record run of 11.493 @ 124.32 This is the E.T. record and as of now we have not broken the MPH record.

The second run is from a GoPro mounted to the front bumper. This run was a few hours later in the day and on this run we recorded a time of 11.586 @ 122.02

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VB4HAlkUcOs

Much more to follow.

Thank you, Tony

Nice job Tony!

SS_Firehawk 02-23-2013 07:16 PM

Awesome Job. 125 is at the top of 4th gear. A couple ways is either shift and increase boost, or increase the rev limiter. Can also run a larger diameter tire. Car sounds bad@ss

You are correct. If you listen closely on that second run he shifted into 5th. A little opposed to raising the rev limiter. The best bet is to put a shorter gear in the rear end. Switch out those 3.69's for 3.35's and combine that with a taller tire. Right now we are on the MT 255/60/16 Street Radials. There are only two other sizes in this same tire compound and rim size. Neither are compatible for this car. So for now, switching out the gear is the option.

Thanks, Tony

Could you explain the world record? What class or criteria of vehicle.

Great job guys

Thanks, we really appreciate all the support. This specific world record is for E.T. (Elapsed Time) in a Nissan 370z. Now after doing extensive research the previous record was held at 11.75 seconds.

There is one car at 11.1 seconds however that is a G37 Coupe.

Thanks, Tony

Congrats. BTW, why is a G37 listed as the fastest 370Z? I just asked the question on the quarter mile thread. Yesterday a friend of mine tried to convince me that the G37 is a 2+2 Z. Crazy talk!

Thank you! We all appreciate the support from the community. The ride has been really fun so far. We are now really focused on getting the kit into production over the next month or so. We plan to have the pre sale start in a few weeks or so.

Stay tuned...

Good morning guys! Just wanted to make a little post to introduce myself, my name is Blake and I am the newest addition to F.I. Inc. I have known Tony and Danny for quite some time, ever since I purchased my CBE/TPs from them for my G37. Believe it or not I actually had the first set of CF mufflers ever! Well times changed and I moved on from my G37, and got out of the car scene for a little while. Fast forward a few years and I picked up a 370Z.. I had not talked to Tony in a while however we still had a good relationship. I jumped on the forums and PMd Tony for a price on an CF CBE, and TPs. We got to talking and long story short, my car was chosen as the prototype TT car. :happydance: While we were going through the paces on the TT kit, we (Tony, Danny, and I) started talking about a job opportunity. I have always had a passion for cars, and ultimately knew I wanted to be in this industry however easier said than done just walking away from a job that was paying me well. I went through some injuries and personal things and actually ended up more or less losing my job because of these issues. Some time had gone on since we had discussed the possible job, but when speaking with Tony I asked him if the offer is still on the table to bring me in for sales/marketing and shipping/receiving. After some talking to ensure we were all on the same page they decided to bring me in! I am very excited to be here and look forward to being able to provide as much support for you guys as possible. I am being brought up to speed as quickly as possible and hope to be able to answer ANYTHING you can throw at me shortly. If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me directly and I will do my best to personally answer it.

Now on the boost side of things!

Update, the prototype TT is taken apart and we are in the process of getting the kit ready for production. I know we are running slightly behind on the full press release, however we ended up doing a little more testing than we originally planned. (more dyno time, track time) We also still do have every intention of getting back on the dyno with the 3" turbo back exhaust once we get the fuel issue 100% resolved. Expect a full press release on the kit including pricing within the next week to 10 days or so. At that time guys who want to be apart of the pre-sale will be PMd with their special pricing. Expect the first 5-10 kits to go out at a discounted price.

Thank you, Blake

We will definitely be needing a 7AT for testing, however I am unsure if the car has already been selected or exactly what stage we are in with that. We will not hold out on you AT guys though!

EDIT: Just got with Tony, he has not forgotten about you! He has you on his list and will be calling you within the next few weeks.
