Does Phunk have a built motor now ? I may have missed it could have sworn it was still stock block on E85.
I want to get my single up to your numbers. Finding someone to build a motor will be the challenge.

I know he has been talking about for a while, not sure if he pulled the trigger though.

What turbo are you running again? I would think it would have to be a 3582 or higher to put down 650whp

Finding someone you trust to build you motor can be a little tricky. I have a local machine shop that built my motor that I trust ,and is a friend., You also have R/T Tuning R.A.D over here in the tri state that you could use, then you have GTM as well.

One thing that can always help, adds to cost but is worth it, is shipping the motor.
This opens up who you use and can be setup that you can drop the motor & throw it back in once it is built.

Dynosty in Louisville KY is a great VQ engine builder. I have a lot of customers with engines built by them, and a few really beat these engines to death. They all hold, and perform very well. Give them a call at 502.384.8882 ask for Hal or Dustin. They use the best parts you can get on the market, and have fantastic customer service (something that can be hard to find)

I am about to ship my VQ down there for a long block build.

I'm kinda scared now that I won't have the dynojet to compare with the stage 2 stock block setup gonna have to get the reem job from the new mustang dyno so I'm not betting on crazy numbers. Hope I'm wrong thou

Bahahaha 30 days, 8 mos its pretty much the same thing
Counting from the start of this project I have been without car for a year. It got fubar at poo shop and now been at GTM for I think is going on 10mos. I can't wait to get it cuz it's suppose to give me BJs everytime I drive it so its worth the wait.

I live in Calgary (Canada) and I was thinking of shipping my engine for a rebuild during the up coming winter. Im a little hesitant now because Im worried it will take 8+ months to get done. Why isn't the engine done yet? Are there reputable shops that can do it in less time? Say 2-3 months? Im thinking the 4.2 stroker and rebuild...

plenty of shops can do it in reasonable time. Just have to research.

Yeah, find someone local or ship it to a good machine shop. GTM makes great stuff, but they've never been referred to as "fast" or "timely". It's not a huge deal if you're building a spare block, but having your car down 8 months becomes an issue.

John's car has been finished for almost 4 month now. For the magnitude of this job including the custom interior gauge work the time is with reason. I know there is a lot of experts here but that is my opinion. Currently we are waiting on some aero parts from japan. Then will move to the body work phase and we should wrap up the project .

Four months sounds a lot more reasonable than the 8+ thrown around in this thread.
