It comes down to setting the car up correctly to handle the power tires and suspension play a big roll plus conditions. My car also has longer gearing that the stock 370z final drive of 3.69. My combo Auto 350z diff 3.3 final drive bridgestone re 11 Swift spring's witch are not to low to mess up weight transfer, a car that is slammed for looks is going to have a harder time getting traction. Also having a good alignment helps as well a 400 whp z is very easy to set up for traction. GTM Racelogic traction control system witch I just got installed on the car works great now in the cold. I cant wait for it to get warmer the system will even work better then.

I haven't tracked any of my 600+ whp yet but when I had less power 570 whp I was able to pull 12.1@127 with a soft launch 2000 rpms and street tires. I do plan on going back in the spring once the weather breaks .

Should be much better with the racelogic this next time around. I can't wait to play with mine. Did you go with the launch and full throttle shift controller? I won't be able to take mine to the track safety regulations I won't have all the required items to make any passes. Kinda blows cuz I just wanna try it a few times. Oh well. I will just be happy when I get my car and can drive it period at this point haha

Yes I have the launch control feature from reading the manual the full throttle shift is something that has to be wired. Once I get back to the track being able to build boost from a stand still is going to be great. You do know that the new NHRA rules for 2013 you do not need a roll cage for 2008 or newer for ET street racing. The times are under 9.99 or 135 mph I am happy that there changed.

I just looked at the rule for NHRA roll cages. It states the car must be unaltered . " bone stock as it came from the factory " except for cat back exhaust, air intake, and some other small bolts on's. Good luck with a aftermarket SC or TT or nitrous. They will see it all during teck inspection. the only car that qualifies under this rule new camaros, shelby cobras and the GTR. plus a few other cars Viper. the SC has to be factory show room stock. I can just see the teck guy at my track sending me home after the first sub 11.49 pass.

I was getting a bit excited there about some new track rules but It figures it was too good to be true
A few new items to add to the list of upgrades: Another 34r oil cooler for dual 34r oil cooling goodness 3" exhaust as recommended by mr squeeze and his dyno charts Going for 700rwhp or bust |
