I had a shop meet their time estimate once - for an oil change... :)

I totally agree with the guys here.
I ordered GTM stage 4 transmission 3 month ago when they said it will be done in 3 weeks to 4 weeks max.. And here we are.. still waiting for it for 3 month and only god knows when they will ship it..:shakes head:

I guess lesson learn. IMO there is only a handful of shops I'd trust stateside. If your going boosted or build motor and can't tdo the work yourself, pay to ship your car to them.

Can't wait to for your results.

But that's the price you have to pay . C'mon , anyone should know that builds take way longer than that . Pull your head out of your *** op . Just wanted to get a head start on the haters when op post a year later trashing GTM that its still in the shop ..

Lol!! This is exactly how I hear all the stories end up.

blackonorange 12-25-2012 08:51 PM

Than why say it'll only take 30 days? It's a lie obviously

elperuano 12-25-2012 08:52 PM

That seems to be the standard practice so I hear from there.

blackonorange 12-25-2012 08:54 PM

I hate when they lie , just be honest.

elperuano 12-25-2012 09:22 PM

Simple concept, unfortunately $$ signs make people do weird things lol.

Yeah I'm new to modding vehicles and now I know. The hard way sadly. Truth is I would have rather been ripped off then ripped off and my car destroyed. It's been over 4mos without my car, which is my daily driver. Yeah...103hp yaris im renting just isn't cutting it :p

It better be a monster! Wife has been on board so far. I'm sure it's cuz It's been a miserable process. I can't get her to let me do return fuel system thou. Hmmmm maybe next time haha

I can only go with what I was told. My car has already been there for 3 mos and I havnt bitched a bit. It is what it is. Sam said 30days and if it isn't then I won't know until that time comes. Someone asked how long it would take and I told them what I was told. Not sure why I have to pull me head out of my @$$.

The reason you will have to pull your head out of your *** is because when it starts to take forever you will make a thread and put them on blast . Then comes all the nut hugging I know everything about build fan boys . They will blast you and say its your fault for not knowing a build when promised a month or 2 takes over a year .. You will be the fool . It's all your fault . You are a idiot ! Thread will be locked or deleted . Probably deleted ...

I am not calling you any names . But , everyone else will ..

SS_Firehawk 12-26-2012 12:33 AM

If the Z is yours primary vehicle, its probably not a good idea to do a build thats longer than a couple weeks. Time is and estimate. A setback on one vehicle can have an effect on the completion of another. Id rather have delays and blown completion times than a bad install. Sucks if both happen at the same time ha.
