edub370 11-29-2012 04:58 PM

quite a parts list there

u order an upgraded csc as well?

Chuck33079 11-29-2012 05:05 PM

Any reason you went with the Z1 test pipes over GTMs downpipes?

elperuano 11-29-2012 05:39 PM

^+1
I went with Gtm downpipes and the 3" exhaust. Ur list is great but seems like ur toning it down some with the test pipes and 2.5 exhaust. Later on if u want more power (99.99999% of everyone will) those will be ur restrictions. But aside from that, once it's all installed n tuned right it's gonna be a blast to drive.

Z-Girl 12 11-29-2012 05:56 PM

So jealous

esfourteen 11-29-2012 06:45 PM

dual 2.5" exhaust with .86 turbine housings will be fine

Yeah, it'll be a whole lot of fun. i was just curious as to the rationale. Either way, it's going to be a handful. OP, expect to be buying rear tires much, much more often.

i was thinking 70mm was 3" system-crap

elperuano 11-30-2012 02:01 PM

If ur staying stock block then yea 2.5 WILL do.
If u ever plan to build then research and you'll find out when someone went from 2.5 to the 3" "crap" ur referring to his hp/tq went up. It's pretty simple. Look at all the major builds, it's all 3" or bigger.
If u never plan on growing and are set to stay exactly where ur at now then yea ur 2.5 will work. Good luck.

Mr&Mrs 11-30-2012 02:02 PM

Awesome man! In for progress.

slave cylinder. tends to go out with a heavier clutch in the car. design flaw from nissan. even goes out quite often with factory clutches

Just go ahead and buy the upgraded csc. It's a drop in the bucket compared to what you've already spent, and it would suck to have to yank the tranny out in a couple thousand miles WHEN the oem unit fails.

LakeShow 11-30-2012 04:43 PM

Damn, that's a serious order.

This kit also includes a free braided stainless steel clutch slave cylinder line.

where do i get upgraded csc:tiphat:,dont think Z1 kit comes with it

Chuck33079 11-30-2012 09:30 PM

Zspeed was where I got mine.

Mike@GTM 12-03-2012 04:08 PM

Congrats! Looking good. We can get you an upgraded CSC if you like. Where are you getting your setup installed?

2011 Nismo#91 12-03-2012 06:06 PM

Nice I,m looking at the same kit from gym though it will be much longer till I get mine. Interesting that 3" isn't a must at that level if I understand correctly.

if i build the engine i will replace downpipes
small investment for just those
the exhaust is 2.75" and should work great
hope to see some of your build

looks like Monday now,why do these wait times seem so long for toys?:driving:

SS_Firehawk 12-07-2012 07:28 AM

Dude, should get a load of my wait time. I won't be able to drive my car till August. It's going to be sitting there with GTM for 9 months... Not day's, not weeks, MONTHS :( I'm a very patient guy, but when it comes to getting $hit done to the car, I want it done yesterday lol. I'm playing Shift II and driving around a 500+hp 370Z just so I can imagine the feeling haha.

Regardless, I'll be tuning in to your new toys and the build. GL

GL! I think I'd be nervous when I start seeing my car in pieces :) Hopefully mine starts soon. You should start a build thread in the gallery.

tower74 12-13-2012 11:30 AM

Nice . Good luck with your build. Sounds like the money you are putting into this thing is going to be well worth the wait. A turbo charged Z, when working correctly, is a f'ing blast.

Yes very unnerving to see the car in pieces and thinking the warranties are no good for you here. But keeping the dream alive to have a Z Beast. One thing is for sure glad to see the old exhaust get an upgrade

Day 2 of the build
the engine is out, tapping a couple of holes.
new manifolds going on. new clutch is installed
this is a tight fit but is going to be so sweet!

Mr&Mrs 12-13-2012 03:54 PM

Looks great so far keep the pics coming.

blackonorange 12-13-2012 07:12 PM

Why'd they take the engine out

Most Twin turbo builds are done that way.

It's a lot easier to install if you drop the motor.

actually according to Sam they typically leave the engine in for the TT kit, we discussed it when I did my own install.
