Seemed alot eaiser going drop the engine route as the new clutch was going in also. The mechanic also said he did a 350z with no engine drop and it was a pain in the ***

That is interesting as every shop I have talk to drops the motor for ease.
Though the kit is designed for the engine to be left in and installed, there is even a DIY on the forum of it.

haha yeah, imagine how I felt when I forgot to re-install the starter prior to installing the turbo with the engine in the car. protip: remove the solenoid, install starter, install solenoid.

it's definitely easier, i wouldn't recommend doing it with the engine in. one of the most frustrating things i've done mechanically
