It was good that it popped at the dealer and not on you. Regarding the SC kit, it can always be reinstalled on the new motor. It may cost more money again, but you have a fresh motor. If things go your way, the dealer may have to cover the costs of putting the SC back on considering it was something they sold and installed. I would have your Lawyer write them a kind letter to encourage them to do the right thing.
