I feel that, I was laid off 6 days before mine popped. Still trying to recover from it, an not happy looking at $8200 for a built motor

I think by the end of this, it can only be better. It was good that it popped at the dealer and not on you. Regarding the SC kit, it can always be reinstalled on the new motor. It may cost more money again, but you have a fresh motor. If things go your way, the dealer may have to cover the costs of putting the SC back on considering it was something they sold and installed. I would have your Lawyer write them a kind letter to encourage them to do the right thing. You have the media as an outlet, and the court system.

Mike, without question, YOU didn't abuse or beat on the car...
However: Quote:

From what my forensics tell me, the cause (lean) was the fuel line (Who installed that?) and the effect (detonation on the dyno) was the culprit. End result: The lower end got corrupted on those lean dyno passes straightening out an existing problem. I really wish you better. You've been through the ringer. However, if the dealer and Infiniti have been following this sequence, there IS cause for justifiable reluctance from the dealer to honor the 'warranty'. This project went away from the initial build. Million dollar question: Who installed the fuel line incorrectly? I'd be cranky too. Coop

Hey Coop thanx for the info and pointing all of that out.!!
The Dealer installed the wrong line or installed it incorrectly , The car only made 3 PSI Became the drivers throttle body harness had 5 breaks in it which again was installed by the dealer , there where 6 HARD codes in the ECU that the installing dealer never looked for or fixed just told me the car was all set and was a tune issue( they just did not want to deal with it). Two where fixed by my tuner and the rest where fixed by the dealer where the car is now. Ever time the car was taking from the dealer to my tuner and back it want on flat bed. So really no matter if they are following or not they are at fault. I haven't even mentioned the bolt on the SC bracket that the installing dealer stripped and was backing out and rubbing against the idler pulley. I hope they do look at all this and see how bad their dealer screwed me and my car. BTW when installing the fuel pump and line they also broke the factor pump bracket and had to replace it with a new one . That's why there is a line saying the car ran out of gas, they broke the fuel pump bracket and thats why the level was reading incorrect. So not matter how you cut it the installing dealer( Norwood Infiniti) is at fault, An also refused the car this weekend when roadside asst called them. I called them and the said" Yup we are NEVER working on your car again, We never want to see you or the car".. I also told consumer affairs about this also. Only thing on my car that was not istalled at the dealer is the Front mount heat exchanger, and the DW fuel pump. I Still have the stock Stillen pulleys on the car.

^^^ OK. Perfectly clear. From where I sit you have a strong case.
Thanks for the clarity. Amid all the fixit posts, it's hard to determine the origination. Obviously the dealer (Norwood) did an incompetent job in installation. That's the beginning of the abuse. Coop

Infiniti Consumer Affairs told me to go pound sand So I'm taking offers on everything on my car.
Even funnier was there explanation of the wordage on my paperwork, they said that the installation of the supercharger does not void any of the factory warranties is pertaining to the factory warranties on the supercharger lol really what language do they speak.

lawyer laught when I told him what they said, He was looking at the paperwork and said
"They know they are full of it and now trying to bully you" But look at what I found going through all me emails with them,, lawyer wanted them , What you think Hey, this is Chris from infiniti of Norwood. the stillen supercharger would be $6299.00, the oil cooler is $369.80, the trans cooler is $349.62. the labor to install all of it will be $1900.00. the oil and trans coolers are on sale. depending on when you would like to do this, those prices may have gone up. purchasing and installing the supercharger from us does not void any factory warranties, including powertrain. the supercharger comes with a 3 year 36000 mile limited warranty thru stillen. check out STILLEN : Precision Performance Components for Your Car or Truck for pictures and further details. I will not be in next week, contact me with any questions after Christmas. thank you very much, Chris
