Meisterschaft Exhaust on GTM TT?
So just wondering if someone could chime in and possibly explain if it's possible for a Meisterschaft exhaust to fit on a GTM TT kit?
Thanks! |
Yes any exhaust system will work on a gtm tt kit. the kit comes down into the stock location ;)

Isnt the meisterschaft only 2.5" in diameter? if so then yeah huge restriction will cause you not to make the power you would want to make from the GTM kit. I would look into GTM's 3" exhaust both the dual and the quad. You can also go with Tony's Fast Intentions exhaust.
My personal take go with the GTM Quad! NOTHING SOUNDS LIKE THIS EXHAUST!!! |

But Bullitt, does the Quad-Exit sound the exact same as the Dual-Exit? And if not I guess its either Dual-Exit or FI's Exhaust... what sounds better with open-dumps? |

we've had two cars with the meisterschaft on it.
it actually quieted it down some. Sounds pretty insane. i had it on my personal nismo tt as well. the only drawback is the piping diameter, but then again, i opted for the sound since its only a street car. |
I don't get this mith that a dual 2.5" exhaust sytem is too small for 650whp+.
Cross sectional area of: 3.0" single exhaust is 7.0" squared (supra guys makig up to 700whp single turbo) 3.5" single exhaust is 9.6" squared (supra guys making up to 1000whp single turbo) 2.5" dual exhaust is 9.8" squared (370z has difficulty making 550whp on a stock block)????? Now, the one thing that needs to be considered are the mufflers. If they are baffled inside, then you can run a 6" exhaust and it will still be restrictive. So straight through exhaust mufflers will not hinder performance as much as it is suggested around here. I had a customer with a BP kit on a (built block) 350z with a dual 2.5" Borla exhaust. When he removed the rear muffler he gained 100whp because the muffler was severely baffled, and was a massive restriction to flow....the piping was just fine. |
the last time i heard they were 2.25 inch pipes, altho it was for the G so maybe the Z is different?

but i agree, the quad is one beastly sounding exhaust |
Hey guys..
Can't decide between the GTM Dual vs. Quad tip exhaust system to go with the GTM Stage II Twin Turbo Kit... LOVE the Quads, but will have to modify the rear bar to fit.. But this will be my everyday driver... SOOOO.. Will the quads be too much..? Too loud..? I love loud, and would like to get the adjustable mufflers just in case I get pulled up.. Advice..? Opinions..? Suggestions..? Thank in advance.. :) |

Thanks for the reply.. Really, that bad..? Is this the Quads you're referring to..? have you heard them in the flesh..? YouTube is as close as i have gotten.. Project White Dragon.. Would you recommend the duals instead..? After a bit more research, I would also consider the Meisterschaft 3" Catback too.. Again only hearing it on YouTube, but sounds amazing.. I'm getting the GTM 3" Downpipes with Recirculating External Wastegates and High Flow Cats too so that'll add a bit to it too.. I'm a Train Driver and start at random times every week (eg. 3:25pm-3:25am, 2:55pm-2:55am, 3:10am-3:10pm, 2:55am-2:55pm) so with any exhaust upgrade I HAVE to get those Varex electronically adjustable mufflers fitted so I don't upset the neighbours.. Plus in Queensland, Australia we've just had new hooning laws introduced... Strike 1- Number Plates are confiscated for 90 days so your car is off the road Strike 2- (If caught again within 5 years if the first offence) Car is confiscated and crushed or sold..!! So I'm wanting to be noticed but not attract too much police attention.. I TRY to always take it easy around town and when going to work and home, so hopefully keeping low revs and maybe even having the muffler butterfly partially closed, I'll keep some drivability.. With the butterfly completely closed, it's supposed to be quieter than standard.. Just can't get up it too much with it closed after it's boosted, so I'd open her up if I was going to take off.. With this extra info, opinions..? Cheers.. |
