As far as flow goes, that is as bad as it gets. The split after the supercharger outlet is horrible, and the driver side split is welded in the opposite direction of the flow. That is the angle (about 15*) you want if you want to draw slight vacuum.
I disagree. It also looks like there is an electric clutch on the s/c drive. It means that the s/c could be turned on/off via switch. I am assuming that they are trying to save fuel wit this? The Mercedes SC230 had a roots blower also with an electric clutch a few years back. These clutches are much like the a/c clutches...and I am not sure how well they hold.
