I think people are generally inclined to put a high quality kit on their cars. Doing FI on a NA car cheaply is a recipe for disaster. As they say: cheap, fast, reliable--pick 2.

one mistake can be very costly in this fi world. can you make it happen probably but how long will it last. the reason fi is so expensive is because it takes lots and lots of time and effort to design a well working kit. If your a mechanic you could probably fab your own kit from scratch for alot cheaper then the ready made kits. its on you how much work you want to put into it. ebay = poor quality parts on no name brand stuff.

alright yea thats probably true thanks for the advice, and has anyone tried using the STS rear mounted universal kit? It seems like the parts are all made from quality matirials and i could make the pipes myself, they also have the pre made 370z kit witch is a lot more expensive then the universal one but it seems like they both use the same turbo.

Go with something already made for the car. Otherwise you'll end up just supplying %70 of the materials for a custom kit which means by the time its over you'll end up spending MUCH more than what you would have on installation of a bolt on kit. Boosted Performance single turbo kits are pretty reasonably priced. Also you can consider a supercharger set-up. It is much more affordable to get a turbo set-up installed than a twin/single turbo set-up. Stillen makes a solid bolt on kit and I think GTM has several to consider.

I don't think picking two even works.............cheap and reliable don't work together in the FI world. Its either cheap and fast, or fast and reliable.
