800 RWHP is hard enough to handle in a street driven car. 1,000 RWHP is even worse. Good luck getting it all to hook up in a RWD car. What really interested me about this project was the 4.5L block. I would love to see what kind of power and torque this would make in a NA application.

The 4.5L block is good but will most likely transfer more heat. We noticed a lot more heat with the 4.5L and had to upgrade every aspect of the cooling system. I would be more inclined to go with the 4.2L if I was to go NA. However, with either one you are going to be looking at over 400rwhp with the proper setup NA. Mike

I would go with a 12+ Compression ratio but that would require a higher blend of gas or a really good tune!

Thanks for pointing that out. I dont know what the lip size is on my new ones. I didnt think to measure them... I just had Strasse order the largest ones available at the time. I do know they are over 6" in depth and makes my centers look like I am running 15" rims they are so deep.

What's trolling about that comment? Serious suggestion your car is very talked about and info on the car is split up over several threads!
One good build thread specs/pics/video

The wheels and the exhaust are my favorite parts of this car.
I agree on the power comment above. 1000+ on this platform is a notable achievement that would not come easy the first time around... especially on the stock ECU. However, its unusable... traction control or not! Only specifically configured for straight line racing could a 370z begin to use 1000rwhp in the upper gears. Which is fine and expected... typical of most IRS RWD cars. Its a cool project. Its got everything. All it needs now is an AWD conversion and then im out of ideas! |
