Default gtm stage 1.5 question

I'm in afghanistan right now, so on my downtime I've been reading this forum. When I get home Im thinking about purchasing a 370z and supercharging it with a GTM 1.5. My question is for the cars that have been s/c for a while now. Have yall ran into any problems? How has the car been holding up? From what i've read it seems like the 370z motor is a strong motor. I've had two other F/I cars A 2011 civic SI with a garret 3076 on it 390 HP and a 2012 Mazdaspeed3 stage 2 300hp/350tq. It'd be my DD btw.

based on the cars that we have out there... no real maintenance issues with the cars bud. The vq37hr is pretty stout and can handle quite a bit. Most supercharged cars that have been hurt was due to improper install or tuning, or parts failures. we have a handful of HR cars out there and a 2 s/c'ed 370zs from the last two years that are only back for their regularly scheduled maintenance and /or other upgrades.

thats good to hear. I haven't read of any blown motors or anything so i figured they were strong motors. I understand problems from poor install learned that the hard way on my honda. But, Live and learn right. I think the 370z is a sexy car and have wanted one for a couple years now. so when i get back ill have enough money to buy one. Thanks for your input

I have had a GTM Stage 1 kit for about 2 years now and 30,000 miles and going strong. Only issue(s) with my car are from other parts, suspension, someone hitting me, etc. Good install & tune are two major points plus have some extra cash around for those 'oh sh1t' moments.

lol yeap i prefer the twins setup for sure as well... i had an 09 Nismo with GTM TT stg1 personally, along with a few friends that had the same car and setup. We all ran Giken twinplate clutches. No one ever needed to to replace those units

either setup is nice... you just run out of room for improvement on S/C'ed cars.

I have the Gtm stage 2 TT kit with os giken 3"do n 3" exhaust. Couldn't be happier. Car tears thru the first 3rd gears so I'm goin for wider tires next set-up. With a TT set-up there's plenty of room for growth later down the line when ur gonna want more power. My main problem now is puttin the power to the ground without having so much wheel spin.

I want the supercharger generally u have less to worry about. I blew my civic motor up due to some weird events. Knock sensor went out and i had bad gas and blew an oil ring. Bad luck i guess. id like to shoot for around 430hp. I dont want anything to crazy. I've got a good tuner thats tuned my honda and has been tuning nissans for a while now. I'll also have a full shop to work in to install the S/C.
