this warranty only applies if u use there tune, if thats the case.
you might aswell just buy bolt ons, i saw 343 whp with the stillen tune.
proper tune 443 on mustang and 462 on dyna pack. with the 9 pound pulley.
Buy the boosted performance kit, the install is a breeze and it puts out major power. This would be the route i would take if i was going to do it all over again.

Couldnt agree more I only saw a 34 WHP increase on "Their" tune, custom tune netted me 114 WHP.

If you end up going turbo, consider the BP single turbo kit as well. It is very DIY friendly when it comes to the install, and will perform as good if not better than the TT kits. Feel free to go though the build thread link in my sig. The prototype made over 500whp at just 8psi of boost, using the Precision billet 62mm turbo and a twin scroll turbine housing. The kit is also capable of over 600whp, without having to upgrade anything on the kit. Of course this is not something you want to do on a stock block.

Starting price is also less than the TT kits, comes with larger injectors, fuel pump and a complete oil cooler kit. If you do get a shop to do the install, it will be a fraction of the cost as well when compared to TT kits capable of similar performance. Maintenance is also a breez because everything is easly accessiblee.

The kit however does not fit the 7spd A/T gearbox, and at the moment is built to be used with the F.I dual 2.5" exhaust system.

I'm actually thinking about going this route when I come back from A-stan next year.
Only thing I don't like is that it's built for the F.I. exhaust.

You can always get a local exhaust shop to mate the down pipe to whatever exhaust you have/want. It won't me expensive at all. Just a simple short Y-pipe, and I can send the other half of the V-band (flange) so the exhaust can mate it up to whatever you end up doing.

Hey, I just thought of another question that you guys might be able to answer for me. Would installing either of the two options ( TT or SC ) increase the insurance of my Z?

I don't think it would be something you report to your insurance.

when I added a stillen supercharger to my 350Z, I did tell my insurance. Progressive, at the time. but I also had a ton of other mods. They increased the premium, but only because I wanted extra coverage for the cost of the supercharger and mods. It was about 5 dollars a month, but I added an additional 15000 in coverage. It had nothing to do with the added power though.

True, You are right, I was just assuming that it would work for both the Nismo and the 2012. haha I guess I will need to check into that. So far, numbers wise, the supercharger is around $3000 cheaper off the bat not to mention the cost of the install unless I take it upon myself to install it assuming that the supercharger would even work on my Z. Any idea on what the install/ labor times are for each of the routes?

I have 2500 happy miles on the Stillen SC I installed on my 2009 370Z with 7AT. I'll be happy to supply anyone seriously interested in a Stillen installation with info. Although it's my opinion that any competent DIY mechanic can perform the installation, even ASE-certified first time installers will benefit from reading my instructions, which cover points omitted in those supplied by Stillen (see this link:

If you have a problem during installation, feel free to e-mail me for help:

Hey guys, yesterday I talked to two different Nissan dealers and both of them said that installing any non-Nissan part would void the warranty. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Including Stillen parts... even though Stillen says that it will not void their warranty.

swiss370Z 10-05-2012 12:15 PM

Hi there,

Here in Switzerland and Europe, Nissan does not invalidate the warranty on Tuning- parts like a SC or TT for the engine!
Is logical to me, since the engine has much more power and void the warranty!

We have the possibility to take a separate warranty for the conversion.
"EXPENSIVE" :stirthepot:

I do not know how it looks on you in the States?

Greetings :tiphat:

I wonder if this is true for smaller things like Cold Air Intakes, or HFC and what not.

ANMVQ 10-05-2012 12:42 PM

I can only speak because I just had my wire harness rewire(Stillen SC kit) and was warrenty from the dealer? I did not use the installing dealer either- We all know why_, :)
But the did put in writing that the SC would not void any of my Factory warrenty.

Every dealership is different in what they will or will not warranty once aftermarket parts are put on the car.
Some will do any warranty work, minus what you add, others see a single aftermarket part and will instantly deny.
