oh man can't wait for the 370z one to be released if it's on the same level as their GTR version. The haltech platinum for the gtr is so flawless it's crazy. Plug and play with the stock harnesses, wideband extra, and its just about the only ecu that you can leave in the gtr take it to the dealership, and not be detected on the can-bus. The new 370z one is supposed to be released as a platinum series also so you should see plug and play connections, free tuning software that isn't specific to some kind of gay "haltech certified" shop so you can take it where you want, and total control of the engine including timing with the possibility of going speed density and getting rid of the maf sensors for boosted cars. Haltech is the **** period.

Haltech systems are expensive. Why not just use UpRev ?

Not feeling that exhaust but am very interested to know how that turbo setup is doing and how it held up on the track.

I hear you. If I'm not mistaken, they have a Greddy oil cooler kit on that car. I'm very interested to see how the oil temps did, especially with the oil cooled/lubed 20g's.

I'd rather go with the GTM kit, the larger turbos allow for an easier upgrade down the line. It's safe to assume that if you are going to TT the car eventually you are going to want more power! So why not take the kit that gives you that room from the get go. Quick question for you exhaust gurus, how about going with the stock exhaust but throwing on some QTP electric dumps. To me it allows you to retain the stock exhaust giving you that sleeper look and you can always open up by throwing a switch. I remember running into this one guy, his s2000 had a built motor making 700+ but he retained the stock exhaust and used dumps. Seems like the cheaper route to go. Can't wait for 2010, once my cf panels arrive it's off to get boosted!

The 20g turbos Greddy supplies are capable to 920 horsepower which I feel are than adequate.

I wanna see some 20g running 900+ hp! That's a pretty big claim! I am going to be running GT30's to get to that level...

Here is a thread from another site debating the capability of the 20G's:
20g potential - MY350Z.COM Forums

In summary....
-The most anyone has reported is around 800 WHP.
-The compressor maps do support the theory that they will go to around 900 HP.
-No one knows for sure....

Regardless, it will take a hell of a build to get close to those numbers anyway. I can't imagine anyone is seriously considering this now, and if they are, upgrading the turbo to get there should be no issue at all. Plenty of companies can modify the 20G to get to those levels at a minimal cost compared to what it will take to get there.

i belive a haltech plat runs a little over 1500 and i seriously doubt the g37 will ever get one considering it's very different from the 370z ecu so it would have to be a whole different unit. Haltech is just pure, reliable, awesomeness, and short of motec, and Fcon5, it is the premier tuning solution. You can do anything with it including adding EGT temp sensors, two step rev launch control, nitrous retard, wideband referanced maps(as in the ecu reads the wideband instead of just tunning it with it and running off a factory narrow band sensor) It lets you get rid of pesky restictive Mass Air sensors and use vairous MAP sensors to control the engine for boosted applications and MORE... Uprev couldn't touch that with a 1/4 mile pole. Its for hardcore machines that barely resemble stock and need to run without a hiccup. Uprev will do you if you just slap on a turbo kit.
