Aside from the bonus' of a built motor, where do you think the choke points are on the current setup? i.e. what are you looking to change and evaluate?

In the end a turbo is a turbo. Yes the new billet wheels are a bit better, and the turbine wheels are also improving, but in the end the idea is to deliver air/boost to the engine. You just can't make old school V8 torque with a modern high revving V6 which was designed to make top end HP.

Even the twin scroll (most efficient turbo configurations due to superior scavenging) reached maximum torque and simply stayed there all the way to redline, much like an N/A engine. Just my experience with these engines I guess.

All Turbos aren't equals. A turbo isn't just a turbo. No one would expect to see the same results from a 6266 or a BW S300SX compared to say a similarly sized Turbonetics or shelf Garrett unit that technically "measures out" the same. There are a lot of advancements in wheel designs, housings and more. Actually enough to an extent that people are upgrading similarly turbochargers for redesigned units.

I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel here, just make it turn faster through other options and little things I've picked up through out my time with the platform.
