I don't understand what ever happened with the original GTR-beating build. This build is slowly edging down the path of the "White Dragon."
|
Z_eliminator stated in the '1/4 mile times' thread he hoped to install the GTM 7AT first, into the N/A motor, go after the N/A record (jnaut), and then do the engine switchover.
All of this takes weeks to accomplish. I'm wishing him good fortunes all along the way. But it's not going to happen quickly. This engine <-----> switch will take two weeks even under ideal circumstances, once it begins. This thread is still a baby. Keep us posted, please. I sure know about the time involved in projects. Update.
The he 7 AT has not been shipped to me yet! After i spoke to the engine shop in toronto i discovered that it was not a 4.2 stroker but a fully built moter with the all the best upgrades that was overbored to 20 thou. The seller thought he had a 4.0L but it is at best a 3.78 l. After i called him back he realized that he had given out the wrong information on the block. he has sent me pics of the engine during the build and it was put together by MT motor sports. Theres a lot of money in the moter and i will be purchasing it. he has agreaded to help me with the instaltion costs as there are a lot of parts of the SC that are on his block and his tune of the moter. Still waiting to see the dyno yes you are right the install is not that quick. No tranney for the last N/A 1/4 mile run. ( no comment ) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RCZ nice to see you on the tread, Z |
2 weeks for a "<-----> moter" swap?
Eh. |
His car is apart and the moter is out of it,
still some details to work out. Z |
What will happen first - you get the tranny or GTM gets CARB certified on their supercharger kit? Hrm...
