With the 34 row GTM oil cooler and CSF radiator, I see oil temps sitting between 195-215 with the ambient temp reading 100-105. Even driving it hard, I've only seen a high of 225. Keep in mind, I'm still running conventional oil since the car only has 7k miles. I expect to see a 5 degree drop in oil temp once I switch to synthetic oil.

The water temp will move from one dot below halfway to two dots above, but the guys at Baker Tuning assured me it's really a 8-9 degree swing in temps due to the water-cooled turbos dumping a lot of heat into the coolant. The temp drops back to normal in about 90 seconds of driving, so I'm not too concerned.

One of these weekends I'll vent the fender liner and ditch the coolant for water and water wetter. Maybe a fan for the oil cooler with a temp sensor before next summer. I'd love a vented hood, but it's a daily driver and Houston experiences some serious rain.

Mine is always 2 dots to the left of center even in 100 deg days

Plus I reset my cooling fans at 60% @ 192,85% @ 196,100% @ 201
Logging my temps. With the rom editor my engine temp has not gone over 208 deg.

Nice, Chuck. Ambient temps barely touch 100 this week, so I'm seeing oil temps around 190-205. Are you only pushing 6 PSI at the moment? It's fun at 9 PSI.

6? No. It spikes to 9, but it drops back to 7psi by redline.

I have a question for those with a vented hood. Besides when you are parked or not moving, do you see any benefit to the hood? Has anyone tested to see if air is flowing outward of the vents while driving?

The reason I ask is because many times a vented hood is great when you idle but when driving a vacuum is created under the hood and to properly release air to cool it might not be the same.

If colder air is entering the engine bay than what is presently there, the higher pressure of the cold air will five the hot air to go somewhere else, whatever the path of least resistance is. For the record, its an AE performance oil cooler. The radiator is a Setrab. They are big on Porsches and Z's.
