Yea you have TP's tho. Less PSI, Still nice 3 PSI more is good, I'll see more than that becasue I upgraded the SC also :) I have stock cats. What is your WHP?

I'll post whp once i get it on a dynojet, right now i only have numbers from a mustang dyno that runs unusually conserative, they say it runs 20% lower than dynojet.

ok fine, 391WHP / 308WTQ

The tune i have, and i quote my tuner, is a "safe" tune, so if settings were tweaked they could get more out of it but would put me on the edge of the safe zone

EDIT: plus it's hot as balls down here!!

This whole thing is now on hold, LONG STORY :(

I don't know how to compare the cog setup to the pulley set up

Like what cog numbers = 3.12 or 2.95 ect
Or what's the smallest you can go on the cog set-up I want 15-16psi once all is said and done

I should not us psi I guess let's just say I want a good 500 to the wheel

And what happen why it's on hold

although the blower can handle higher psi, the intercooler is not adequate to disapate heat above 12psi. If you want the cogged pulley part numbers i can send them to you. But be advised, it's not as simple as removing the old ones and putting these on. it may require some customization like spacers and small adjustments in addition to requiring a re-tune.

Man i just read this entire thread ..i was hoping to see the outcome and base my decision on whether or not to go FI off of your results

ANMVQ 09-07-2012 07:44 AM

For the reasons why Osiris said the Dealer can not figure out how to set up the pulleys there was alot of back and forth between them and I , Pics and what not, There are saying the belt wants to walk off??? Idler has to not be set up right and they did not install the heat exchanger( Said they cant) so I'm going to pick the car up today and either finish myself ( Which I should be able to) or send it to my tuners on Next Friday VIA tow truck, I just how I can drive the car home, 45 Mins ?

Pretty much not a happy person right now, :(

does anyone know the size of the stock pulley or the 9lb pulley we can get with the kit i was going to get the smallest pulley i can to see what the boost and slippage looked like

before going with the cog set-up i mean if slippage is minimal i may not need to change over to the cog set-up but i do want atleast 14-15psi up top

The stock Stillen pulley is 3.12 the smaller pulley 9 pound you have is 2.75 that's pretty small. That's the reason I did the cog pulleys when I had the kit better grip plus boost comes on sooner ,even better than the 9 pound pulley . Since you have the T trim you would need to switch in order to take advantage if the blower it self . The thing that concerns me with doing this is all the other mods you have to do to the kit I it runs hot . This is the reason I sold mine with my built motor .

not supprised you cant get an answer from them.. LOL they did not want to tell me anything when I started this either, But that sounds about right on your PSI, I was seeing 9 sometimes 10 up top on the 8PSI pulley. When all said and done I hope to see 13 :tiphat:

I fully understand i called stillen and they said they didnt know the pulley size which i find hard to believe. its not hard to measure one that is not on a car

ANMVQ 09-10-2012 01:26 PM

Sounds like them. Wouldnt tell me anything either, Car went to my tuners on Friday night on a flat bed. Should have something this week,. :/

The pulleys available will be:

2.62"
2.87"
3.12"
3.25"
3.33...ect

These are right from Vortech, so unless it is a custom pulley, it won't be 2.75".

Also, looking at the spec/flow of the V3 supercharger 500whp+ should be no problem at all with an air/air FMIC. I would get rid of the Stillen water/air cooling system and go back to the OEM plenum. That way you can put the MAF sensor in the proper location, and have a solid S/C kit capable of solid power.

A quick search...

Stillen uses a Vortech V3 head unit: 1150cfm (for an Si, and 1050cfm for the SCi)
GTM Stage II uses a Rotorex 38-91: 1075cfm (I think advertised as Stage II 600hp)

So an educated guess suggests that with the air/air FMIC mod, the Stillen kit would make 600hp. At least this time Stillen picked a good supercharger to start with vs. the horrible decision they made with the 350z.
