SC IMHO is safer because of it building to redline vs all at once.

On a side note I am making 432hp at only 6psi and that is on a mustang dyno and after taking some timing out reducing the hp. on a dynojet it should read higher so I do not know why you have to make so much PSI to get the same as I am. I know dynos are subjective and are only there for tuning purposes but it would be nice to be able to compare numbers from each of our cars based on the mods we have.

Hey Kelly, Yea man on 9 PSI I'm making 412WHP( Mustang dyno) low dyno in my area, Not really sure how you are making more or WHP and 3 less PSI, That those are turbo numbers, Plus I have a AWD 7 SPD auto,, But the 412 is pretty much in line with everyone else @8-9 PSI,

Yea plus for what Kelly said, Becasue it builds it as the RPMS rise and just doesnt slam it all at once, TQ numbers are lower but us with the autos dont mind that really, Would rather have my tranny work then make 380WTRQ

I am not sure either i know that WOW370 dynoed on the same dyno as me and he did 464hp and he has a GTM TT setup. I am also a Manual as well but do not think that would make this much difference. I know my tuner knows what he is doing. jsut to give you an example initially it was tuned down in WPB and I new I had problems like WOW370 so we got a new tune at Z Fever here in Tampa. the tuner did a initial pull with their tune at got 397hp vs the 405hp WPB said I had from their mustang dyno then we did about 20 pulls to get things right then pulled timing to ensure safety then let the car cool and pulled the final numbers of 432hp. I am not sure how I only made 30 less hp that a TT setup but I am not going to complain about it.

I was doing some research and thought of an explanation why reducing timing would gain more horsepower .

Naturally aspirated versus force induction

A normally aspirated engine doesn't use a compressor or nitrous oxide to enhance combustion. Since the fuel-air mixture in its combustion chamber is less dense, it takes longer to ignite. Vehicle manufacturers typically set the timing at a default that will lower engine temperatures and reduce emissions. Advancing this setting increases the engine's horsepower by firing the plugs earlier in the compression cycle. If your plugs fire too early in this cycle, you get so much pressure and heat in the cylinder that the fuel-air mixture can auto-ignite and damage your engine. Turbocharged, supercharged and nitrous-injected engines are already running higher pressures and temperatures than normally aspirated engines, so the consequences of advancing your timing can be more severe. Retarding the timing on these engines compensates for the denser fuel-air mixtures by firing the plugs later in the compression cycle. This prevents premature combustion and allows the engine to run at peak performance without destroying itself in the process.

How much are the cog pulleys and how hard are they to install?? will stillen ever know you have had them installed if you send back the blower for warranty repair??

Are there links the the exact pulleys I would need to order??

Sorry for 21 questions. Just trying to educate myself.

Thanks in advance.

The pulleys are not hard to install, But you will need a tune or retune.. I got all my parts from Auto Anything- Which came strait from Vortech, An my Stillen Warrenty is up in DEC but now is VOID, Becasue I upgraded the SC, But Vortech warrties it for 1 year from now. I Blew Stillens warrenty with custom tune anyway.. But really I only pick up 40 WHP on Stillens tune and pick up 72 more with the custom tune, Total was 114 WHP total is what I picked up from my NA bolt on # of 298 WHP !

Yes Stillen know that you switched to the cog pulleys and void your warranty.

ANMVQ can pass on the cog part numbers and information I gave him .

You can also read this for more information
Custom Stillen 370z supercharged

Keep in mind if your a person that is real worried about warranty then doing the cog set up is not for you . It is something that is complicated.

I think you are setting the bar a little too low. lol If you are going to be in the mind set of "GTM can do it, so I can do it" go for the gold man! Here's the bar we've set...go for it!

Best of luck to you and may the best supercharger win. lol
