You would have to copy my cog set up ANMVQ and a few other's have copied it already. The boost will come on a lot sooner with it you will have a better powerband with the cog pulleys. |
ok i am still having trouble understanding why the 9lb pulley is so small
the v3 can crank out up to 17psi and if its using a small pulley to start then what pulley is going to give me 15-16psi or close to that i mean theres like what only one pulley smaller then 2.75 i know our heads flow well but i mean with the v2 and 2.95pulley i was seeing close to 550rwhp and 13.5psi on my mustang i will figure it out i guess |

The pulleys that Stillen use on the back of the blower and Jack shaft are big this slows the blower down. This is the reason why people have a problem making torque and Hp with the blower. The Stock pulley that comes with the kit is 3.12 that's not small at all either. This is the reason why I put cog pulleys when I had the Stillen kit because I knew the blower was spinning slow. It is also the reason I made 465 Whp 360 TQ on a dynojet with the bigger pulley that came with the kit. The only way to get the blower to even try to crank out more psi is to use the cog pulleys that I used. But doing so you have to change a bunch of other things with the kit that have been talked about already. I hope this helps you understand better. |
+1 for what Mr.Squezze said, You can change the cogs upgrade the impeller to make more boost and sooner, But you HAVE to change the MAF's ( You will run out at 6500), You also will have to upgrade the injectors-the Stillen 600CC's wont cut it, and you will have to shave part of the head( Idler is going to hit it). An after all of that we still dont know what WHP you will make, My car has not hit the dyno yet. Mr.Squeee made 465 and ran out of MAF, I'm hoping to make 20 more WHP then he did. He was also @ 11PSI with TP's I have stock cats so I'm proablly going to see + 2 PSI. I also changed the Heat exchanger and the BPV.. As soon as my car hits the dyno and I get the numbers from my tune I will out them up on here. Should be tomorrow I hope.. I havent seen my car for going on 10 weeks. :(

Is it worth getting the impeller and shims from 928 motor sports? or just do the cog set up?
|
just got a call, Fingers crossed for the dyno tune this afternoon.

The Impeller works, I read a ton of stuff on it, Mr.Sqeeze made power with it and the cog set up, Not sure how much soon the PSI comes in but the 360 WTRQ is nice, I got mine from Vortec cause it was there for the warranty work. |
i didn't need to upgrade my maf's or injectors.

Thanx man, I hope so too. :) If he gets very good results on the Air-Air might be something I look at over the winter, I may Stay with the Stillen Intake tho. |
