And who would I get the UpRev flash from? Or do I just have my tuner adjust the Osiris tune? Does GTM have to give you the UpRev file ?

Call GTM and ask maybe it is something they can send to your tuner to put into your tune.

For anyone that may need it:

I sure hope someone else comes out with options for the 7AT before I need it because there is no way I'm sending them my money!

3zworld 08-07-2014 07:47 PM

why?

1slow370 08-07-2014 08:02 PM

^ yeah really you don't need them for the tune since it is in the instructions you can have your tuner do it for you instead, so so long as there is a quick turnaround on the valve body it isn't the end of the world.

I have tried to give them my money and I'm thankful they made it hard enough that I'm not playing that game again!

Wow, sorry you have had troubles, I have had nothing but good customer device from them so not seeing what some others are saying..shrugs

JWillis72 08-08-2014 09:00 AM

Do you get your stuff from them? If so how long did it take?

VBU Sucks! WTH?

Ok...I had the VBU from GTM installed and everything good there. Had my tuner adjust my Uprev tune with the tables that Sam @GTM sent to me to have him adjust. So I get it on the road and it seems to shift a little better but not the drastic difference I was expecting. And to top it all off I lost my Syncro-rev (rev matching) completely!!!! WTF is that all about. On the downshift for those of us that are spirited drivers and like to use our paddle shifters since they are there..;) it is supposed to kick up and then down like a normal shift would do on the tac, instead it just slams into the lower gear without the pip up before going down in revs. I now have made a video and sent it to Level10 transmissions because GTM didn't have a clue as to what could be wrong when I had my tuner contact them. So this is extremely frusturating and I'm about to just go back to my OEM VB since the only differences I'm REALLY seeing is that I lost the rev-match on my downshifts and it STILL has a damn lazy shift when you are not getting on it. When you get on it I agree it does shift nicely shifting upwards, but I would like the whole damn experience thank you of driving my boosted car. The VBU may make your trans last longer but if it acts like this it really isn't that much fun honestly..:ughdance: Hopefully the guys from Level10 transmissions will be able to see from the video if they can determine what "may" be the problem. Was going to buy the torque converter and now not so sure I'm even interested anymore, can't seem to get a quality product, and after $1500 when all is said and done I could have done something better with it..:stirthepot:

all you did was the valvebody right? If you go in manual mode does your gear position indicator work right? The only things that should effect the synchro rev are if the gear position sensor is out, or if there is an issue with the speed signals or in uprev flash. Reflashing, resetting the ecu, maybe putting the stock tune back on just to shift it a couple times and see if synchro rev comes back would be a good couple of first steps. the ecu drops line pressure at low loads so it is not going to shift hard under full throttle. you could always have your tuner up the low load parts of the torque map if you want hard shifts all the time but you shouldn't need lightning shifts cruising around town.

Edit: are you getting any codes?

Just checked the fsm and the gear position and shaft speeds sensors are hooked up to the tcm on the valvebody could be that one was not plugged back in or something during the install as well, another thing to check. When you say swap your stock valvebody back in did you buy a core valvebody? you need to reuse your orignal TCM and gear position sensor from the car on the new valvebody to get everything to work so you must have swapped them, double check to make sure everything is hooked up right on the valve body and that you reused the original parts.
