Soon to be TT G37!
Sup guys, my car is going down the path of the dark side real soon I have a GTM stage 2 kit coming in this week and am very excited. This will be my second boosted VQ. I previously had a 2006 g35 6mt with a gt35r turbo putting down 420/380 on a mustang dyno. Love how these cars respond to boost. Absolute blast to drive.
Fast forward almost 2 years n my 2008 g37s is about to be boosted as well Mods for now r pretty standard GTM stage 2 kit Os Giken clutch Ss clutch lines Custom oil cooler Gauges (not sure yet but prolly hks evc6) I also ordered the GTM 3"downpipe Custom exhaust (or FI 3" exhaust) I believe that's it for now... Since there's so many build threads I won't be repetitive with another one. But I'll definitely post pics n vids when it's all said n done |

Congrats, never hurts to have another build thread, each one is different and will provide more insight into boosting the VQ motor.

I included a recirculated BOV, a recirculated waste gate dump, and only use a 2.5" exhaust (ARK Grip). None are considered for utmost power, but that hasn't held me back.
Good for you. Great stuff. Coop

Thanks for the support guys. Well I'm a young guy n love the sound of open dumps n the whoooosh from the bov. My last set-up had open dumps so at about half throttle I could hear the turbo spooling n it was blast off time! I'm not one for the quiet sound, I prefer to hear every single penny workin as hard as I did to make the money to finance my boost addiction!
My buddy Danny will be doing the install for me. He's pretty good at VQ. Danny aka GreenGoblin aka slammered inc. |

Hey guys I'm curious as to what 3" exhaust options there r out there for the Infiniti g37? I jus realized FI's exhaust is for the 370 currently n they only have a 2.5 exhaust for the g37.
Only other option I see is the GTM but it's a catback and down here in Florida there's no emissions so i want straight pipe. I think custom is my only option. |

I meant I want no catback system since in Florida I don't have to worry about passing emissions. Yes I'm going with the 3" GTM downpipes. I only know of 1 g37 running a custom 3 inch. The rest seem to be 2.5.

I would call Tony at F.I. and ask him about a 3" for the G37.
For the most part it might just be extending the pipe a little longer, but I am not sure of the exactly differences and if it will require reworking it.
