I believe the GTM blower does not spin at full speed in low load high rpm situations because it uses a fluid type clutch, or so called "traction drive" which only fully engages under high load. I'm not sure if the Vortech units used by Stillen have similar technology. See here for more info on Rotrex design.

The Stillen uses a plastic by-pass valve that is known to not handle boost well over 9-10 PSI.
