Sounds like the AC compersor is shutting it self off so the car will not over heat, I know the car will run hotter with the AC on and the stock fans come on late 215 DEG. Try having the Fans turn on earlier, Like 185( UPREV) I had mine change a week or so ago and oil, trans and engine temps have been down alot.. I ran my ac for three days last week 100+ plus here and had no problems at all.
BTW oil and trans temps never above 185. :) |

try 99 and 102 with 95 percent humidity in new orleans. Like a sauna in this place lolol.

miami weather is similar tho. very tropicalish

wonder if it may need high output fans? Or mabe some kind of vents from the bottom of the car if its possible?

had the same problem with my customers gtm stage 1 10th anniversary , but it was 130
temps here , so i thought its because its hell here , seems alot of ppl are having the same issue , i built another customer an sts nismo , its not doing that but ac does get little hot or in other words not as cold as when ur on the highway or so but he blew his engine after 1000miles sweeet gtm stage 1 block parts on the way for him , so for sure its not a kits problem its an issue with these cars with going forced induction in hot weather they just dont tango along , i was hoping changing the fan setting will take the problem out , but as someone was sharing it still happens ,and i also thought a vented hood will solve the issue and someone else posted that it still happens , i guess along with the mentioned above ,oil cooler , and going with gtm biggest radiator and huge fans will fix this issue , if not then , these cars do not like being in 90+ plus weather period when blown, another brand new 2012 nismo greddy tt kit is on the way it has upgraded csf radiator , oil cooler on top of the stock oil cooler, fans tweaked to come on early ect ect ,i will keep u guys posted how it does in our 130f weather these days , but am sure it will have the same issue , if it did ill go an order gtm biggest radiator and fans as a last solution , if it doesnt fix the issue then no more tt z's to this part of the world till we find a solution . |
Yea they certainly don't like the heat. What about putting a larger single fan in front of the radiator or mabe behind the intercooler? Man I have to get this fixed.
|
I know this won't fix the problem but these two things together couldn't hurt for a little extra oil cooling.

The greddy turbo oil pan works good too.
Plus it was 102deg today and sat in traffic on the way home and no issues. |
