S&R Performance single build about to begin!

Well the nitrous kit went away. This will be S&R Performance's first 370 auto build. The car will be going to Tampa Fl. on Monday and the build will begin soon after. I will keep updates as I receive them. Hopefully with lots of pics too. The turbo will be a Precision 6266 with Turbosmart gate and bov.
This is exactly what my setup will look like.
I'm not gonna say what the horsepower numbers are at this time but I do have an idea what they will be.

Intake piping over hot side is a bad idea

You get the prize for first negative comment! I already talked to them about that and the intake temps on both sides are the same. So bring on the next hater comment. :D

Not hater. Talking to Isamu about the same issue with his build.

I'd love to see what conditions they measure iat's under.

Anyone who has worked with FI can spot it. Might check with 98intrigue about spotting these before it's an issue.

Defensive much?

And yes, I'd ask the shop for more clarification where they're taking IATs. I'd fully expect some heat transfer to occur on the hot side intake before it hits the engine.

I have been working with f.i. For many many years and yes it was the first thing i had a issue with and they tested this at long idles and many hot conditions ( Tampa Florida ) dyno and street conditions and have had no issues as far as I know. If someone can prove this wrong please chime in.

As long as you're satisfied with the shop's proof, no one else will care enough to "prove" anything. Just make sure you are convinced.

Not to rain on your parade or be negative or anything of the sort, but the original builder who did 98intrigue's single setup had "extensive experience" as well. If you haven't, it is definitely worth reading through to see where they had problems and the solutions they came up with.

I'd read this...http://www.the370z.com/forced-induct...urbo-370z.html

Just sayin'

But it's your car, and if you're confident they are competent, then by all means go for it.
