Radiator Installation Keeping fluid temperatures under control is our GTM 70mm Competition Radiator and fan shroud to reuse the factory fans along with our 25 row competition engine oil cooler and thermostatic supplement kit. Our vented fender liner helps evacuate air from the oil cooler to increase its efficiency as well. http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...R/P1190003.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...R/P1190005.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...R/P1190006.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...R/P1190007.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...R/P1190011.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...R/P1190012.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...R/P1190013.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...R/P1190016.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...R/P1190017.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...R/P1190035.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...R/P1190036.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...R/P1190039.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...R/P1190046.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...R/P1190047.jpg Supercharger Installation http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190085.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190084.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190082.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190105.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190104.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190078.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190077.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190051.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190050.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190048.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190043.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190044.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190045.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190052.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190040.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190019.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190020.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190021.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190023.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190025.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190028.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190029.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190030.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190070.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190171.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...C/P1190178.jpg Clutch Installation On the drivetrain side of things, we employed the smooth driving characteristics and exceptional clamping abilities of the OS Giken Twin Disk clutch along with a heavy duty concentric slave cylinder for the OS Giken Clutch. http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...H/P1180767.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...H/P1180766.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...H/P1180761.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...H/P1180759.jpg Water/Methanol Injection System Installation To keep detonation at bay and allow for more advanced timing is the Aquamist HFS-4 with our 5 nozzle setup. There's one nozzle before the intercooler, one in each pipe after the intercooler and one in each MAF pipe between the MAF sensor and throttle body. http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190071.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190072.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190073.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190172.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190174.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190250.jpg |
Exhaust System Installation Expelling spent exhaust gasses is a set of our GTM 2.5" Test Pipes and an HKS Hi-Power Cat-back exhaust. This exhaust setup has an aggressive sound to complement the raw power this car throws down. http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190083.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190088.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190089.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190090.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190091.jpg Engine Monitoring System Installation We installed a second monitor in the factory cubby to allow for the HKS CAMP2 to display all the engine vitals separate from the navigation system we installed in the factory radio’s double DIN slot. In addition to displaying OBDII channels, we installed several sensors: Oil Pressure, Exhaust Gas Temperature, and Fuel Pressure. We also installed a backup camera to help the driver compensate for the Z's blind spots as you back out. http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...S/P1190519.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...S/P1190522.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...S/P1190521.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190245.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190211.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190054.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1180768.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190049.jpg Traction Control System Installation With 500whp on tap, it is easy to get the car to step out under power. Therefore, to keep the tail in check, this car has our GTM Plug and Play Traction Control to cut power incrementally to combat wheelspin without the bogging the factory VDC causes. With end user adjustability, the traction control system allows for full opposite lock drifts without losing control or on the other end of the spectrum, stomping on the accelerator in soaking wet weather and hooking up to walk away from the competition. http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...S/P1190534.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190200.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190202.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190210.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190215.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190218.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...L/P1190219.jpg Wheels, Tires, and Suspension Belting out 500whp begs for wider tires to get it to the ground. Standing up to that task are a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires in 275/35R19 up front and 305/30R19 out back wrapped around a clean set of Work Gnosis GS2 wheels spec’d by GTM to 19x10” ET30 up front and 19x11” ET18 out back. To keep the car planted in the turns, we installed a set of nicely valved KW variant 3 coilovers and Hotchkis sway bars. With our GTM Precision Laser Alignment and SPC Camber Kit, we were able to dial in the suspension settings to ensure maximum cornering grip without undue tire wear. Last but not least, we upgraded the stopping power as well with Stoptech cross-drilled rotors, GTM braided stainless lines, and Motul RBF600 DOT 4 Racing Brake fluid to stave off brake fade. To finish things off, our GTM Powdercoated Calipers give the braking system a sportier appearance. http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...N/P1190066.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...N/P1190067.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...N/P1190068.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...N/P1190093.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...N/P1190094.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...N/P1190095.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...N/P1190096.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...N/P1190246.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...N/P1190247.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...N/P1190249.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...N/P1190438.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...N/P1190439.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...N/P1190443.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...N/P1190444.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...N/P1190447.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...N/P1190449.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...N/P1190450.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...N/P1190459.jpg http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/l...N/P1190460.jpg |

Wow.........that is super clean
Nice job GTM!! |
Nom nom nom.

Just a safety warning about SPC rear camber arms. Mine sheered off on track. Not overextended etc. SPC bend arm where it's threaded and they sheer off under stress. sPL is better choice for quality build where high stress is anticipated.
Grand am team wouldn't reinstall them on my car after that incident. That's a cute boulevard cruiser though. |
Wow, that is soo amazing. I really wish I had the funds to do something like this. And, GTM is exactly the place I would do it too.
|
I am literally speechless!! Wish I had the funds to build my car this way. Awesome awesome work GTM.
|
$30k?
|
Did I see a temp probe in the header? Measuring EGT's to get an idea how well the water injection is doing?
|
Absolutely stunning. Such a beautiful car with some tasty mods :P Great job, GTM!
