Default 600 WHP GTM NISMO build. preparation

Im currently in the process of speaking with Sam on getting the nismo some new "accesories"

I gave up on the pursuit of just building a NA car. to be honest, theres not enough people making the needed parts "heads, crank, cams, pistons, sleeves, lifters, rods, intake.... blah blah" and if u pieced them all together it would cost just as much to just buy a 30k+ built competition engine from GTM.

that being said heres the plan at the moment, within the next 6 months i will be buying one part at a time of the following.

GTM Motorsports*::*PERFORMANCE UPGRADES*::*GTM TWIN TURBO ULTIMATE PACKAGE

GTM Motorsports*::*PERFORMANCE ENGINES*::*Long Block Packages*::*GTM Stage 1 HR / VHR Longblock

GTM Motorsports*::*CLUTCH - FLYWHEEL*::*HD CENTRIC METAL SLAVE CYLINDER UPGRADE FOR OS GIKEN CLUTCH

GTM Motorsports*::*ELECTRONICS*::*Gauges*::*GTM 52 MM 3 GAUGES PAKAGE-BOOST,FUELL PRESS AND AFR-

GTM Motorsports*::*CLUTCH - FLYWHEEL*::*Twin Disk Kits*::*GTM® Spec Exedy® Twin-Disk clutch assembly For HR 350Z/G35/370Z/G37

this is silly to mention, but the car is still up for sale as well. but i got my new job fixing lasers so i dont care if i sell it or not lol. im going to get trading it in at the end of this year for a brand new nismo that i will be puting these parts on.

reason for this is, my interest rate on this car is 18.9%. and even an increase of total amount initially owed "example, old nis 30k, new nis 38k" if i get a normal interest rate like 6% even if the price owed goes up to 38k i will still owe LESS on the car over the span of a 5 year payment plan.

so this 09 nis is in a unique position right now. its in showroom condition and now has 18k miles on it, washed and waxed every weekend, nismo oil cooler installed, nismo floormats, nismo trunk mat, illuminated kick panels, and nismo car cover K&N air and oil filters, royal purple oil since new. 14 day pay off is what im asking. but this will NOT be the car that gets all this new gear lol.

Anyone have any suggestions for something that i may have overlooked? perhaps some equipment i might need that i missed?

final goal is a street drivable 550-600 WHP car. not for hard racing, just random weekend fun.

I want to keep the car at much as i can with the OEM look. i wouldnt even have the boost guages if it wasnt kinda needed for a car with so many ponies running around under the hood. need to keep track of where they are running :P

Its also going to get a big break kit once i find a nice 6 piston kit thats not decked out with stupid looking colored super car calipers with a rotor that looks like a saw blade. its cool sometimes, but like i said i wanna keep the car looking oem as much as possible. so the only non oem things you can see without opening the hood will be the exhaust tips, the seats "getting them made of leather because thats how nismo should be!" and those stupid guages.

I think this is in the wrong section. Looks like you are trying to advertise your car for sale to me.

A good interest rate would be around 3. Here in town I have seen 1.9 at the local Credit unions.

Sheesh thats going to be quite the build!

Definitely sounds like your paying out of you A%% in interest, wow! Best of luck getting a lower rate, but sounds like that shouldnt be to0 hard.

already advertised it for sale, never hurts to mention. but dont get the wrong impression, i couldnt care less if the car sells or not. regardless its going to the way side for a new Z whether thats via someone buying it, or me trading it in for the new one and a shiney new low interest rate.

hoping Sam and the R&D team at GTM can get some good results out of that dual supercharger (600 WHP range). if so i without a shadow of a doubt i will not hesitate to be the first person that buys one. and this will turn from a TT to a TSC build lol.

It's a brake kit....how did you end up with a loan of 18 percent? That's really bad....anyhow that should be a killer build, I'm guessing it will be hard to get traction with that much hp.

I was in Guam on submarines. had a loan from a local bank with a good rate when i bought the car in 09. but when i got out I needed to move off island and the bank wouldn't allow it until the car was paid for. so i was FORCED to refinance with navy federal credit union as they were the only ones willing to because I would essentially be jobless when getting out of the navy. they took advantage of the situation like any smart business would and ****** me over. I fought tooth and nail to keep that car, even between jobs. so i figured I would kill 2 birds with one stone. get a new car AND lower my total amount paid on the car. and besides, Nissan is being a bunch of jackasses and added the things to the nismo in 13 that the nismo had in JAPAN since 09. so the 13 will be a Japanese 09 with powdered rims and gtr break lines. because it already had the Bose speakers and satnav. thanks Nissan for thinking the American general public is too ******* stupid to realize that.....

also I noticed several nismos for sale in the mid 30k range...... I was asking 29 for mine, have they suddenly changed in the past.....month? lol.

anyway I'm already up to about 11 grand saved and should have the rest WELL before my 2013 rolls off the lot to begin installation.

if anyone still wants there chance at the car speak now or forever hold ur piece otherwise the dealerships getting it on a trade lol.

as for grip...... I will try to mitigate it as much as I can by putting maybe 80-120 tread wear tires on it "40 is to soft for the road" and do what i already do, put 305s in the rear and 265s in the front. the rims aren't quite wide enough for 315 or I would do it. low profile tires ALREADY get smoked and this car dinod on Guam at 369.5 FWHP no I don't have a pic of the Dino map so don't ask. that being said it really doesn't matter if I make 400 or 600 horsepower, traction on the nismo from a dig is a 100% complete joke. I have 305 potenza s04 pole positions and if I don't baby it off the line is will spin through 2nd and chirp 3rd. my base model launched better than my nismo and it didn't even have an LSD, that's what a stiff suspension does to u. lucky for me, I'm not buying all this for it to be a straight line muscle car wannabe, when i do choose to track it, it will be all circuit and time attack stuff. around a real track where it belongs and was designed for. I'm sure on the road I will still get spanked at red lights by cars with 400 horse and good traction but to be honest I really don't care.

We've got something to help out with traction from a dig. I don't know if you knew about it, but our GTM Plug and Play Traction Control System allows the end user to dial in how much wheelspin they want. Unlike the factory VDC that closes the throttles when wheelspin is detected, our traction control system cuts power much more progressively and allows as much power to get to the ground as the tires/suspension are capable of holding.

can it be adjusted to the TRUE OFF possition if i wanna get "spirited" with it? unlike nissans VDC traction nanny "off" just means "almost" on the nismo in fast corners i can actually feel the car braking OUT of corners when i go in with any amount of speed and cause understeer. its insanly annoying and is most definatly taking time off my laps having the breaks on while the gas pedels on the floor

oh, and can it be installed to go to the VDC button the car already has? or at LEAST to the same location, i want to keep max OEM look possible so i would rather keep guages, knobs, dials, and lights to a minimum lol. especially if they are required to be cut or molded into the dash or other interior pieces that if ever REMOVED are now destroyed.

just a heads up, GTM built block will likely require a core exchange

so they cost 9 grand AND require u to give them a 5 grand part in return? I sure as hell hope not. that deal just went from "barely convinced myself" to "**** that bull crap" in one forum post. I will clarify with Sam first......but that's not 14k worth of equipment, not at any angles look at it. so for the sake of the build I hope ur wrong. OR the price listed is BEFORE a core exchange, that would also be acceptable.

Perhaps they gave you a price without exchange, I have no idea, I just know they offer it and wasn't sure why you would want to keep your stock bottom end just to sell off yourself.

naaa i was just going by the price on the site. its 11k for the built longblock as advertised. but it doesnt say anything about a core exchange. so if they offer that as an option AND knock off the actual value of a brand new longblock from nissan from the 11k i would be beyond happy, but i seriously doubt thats the case so i will probably get more money back overall just selling it to someone.

All of the engine builds on our website have an option for whether or not you are providing a core for us to build. Our core charge is $2,500 if you are not sending us your engine to build. If you choose not to send us your stock engine once you receive the motor build from us, you will forfeit the core charge. This is a standard industry practice that's been going on for almost a century now.
