OK then!!! I will forget the self-install, I've got skills but for a "GRAND" it's not worth it. It's always best to have someone to go back to just in case of a glitch. Plus there just so happens to be a shop that just opened in Oceanside that I think are just the guy's for the job!

Thanks for the input. As far as the performance side of things goes your all happy right, no CEL's.
Now if I can find a used one I would really be happy. I'm thinking of installing it myself, but by chance I have a shop do it, what could I expect the install charge to be approximately?

Perfomence side of things, VERY happy, Had some fun on the way home from a car Show this Sunday( M3-E46, 2012 Lotus and 2008 S4) :driving:,
The only CEL I got was for a MAP sensor, But my tuner changed the limits on it so it would not trigger,( The stock sensor on reads like 1 bar) and with the SC it's see a lot more than that.. I paid $1700 "Dealer installed", Perfect for me IMO, Kept my warrenty intact,

You'll really enjoy the car when you get it back - it will be an entirely different experience.

The install isnt all that hard, for a DIY, you can do it in a weekend easily.

That looks like a bit more than I would be able to do, I don't have a lift. So I think the cost factor for the install would put me over my budget (what ever that is :shakes head:) Plus I want that linear feel you get with a SC.

SON OF A BIT@H, you guys are killing me. Last night I read until my eye's started to bleed. I've decided to install it myself (for now). I'm a fanatic and I know if I do it I will take my time and it will look perfect, then it will be up to the shop to tune it. Which I'm sure will be an easy task for these gentleman. Who know's what I will end up doing, first I need the SC!

Just waiting to receive my lip so that I can have it painted and installed, once that’s done it's back to the performance side of things. I strayed a bit and went with some cosmetic mods, I installed the Type III wing (looks awesome), now I'm just waiting for the Carbon Signal Spec-ME Front Lip. Once done I'm planning on pursuing the SC mod very soon. I will say that for a very and I say very short time I was considering NOS, but that’s out. I was following a thread that one of our fellow members was posting, he destroyed his engine with a 100 shot! :shakes head: I feel really bad for him, yet thankful for the info.
Stayed tuned,
TommyGuns
