I don't blame the nitrous on the first one. Improper tune. 2nd one is still no clue, the shop blames the nano kit but even then they are not sure. I spoke with nano and they have never heard of it happening before either.

[QUOTE=V8Killer;3162502]Man that is crazy, even the guys at z1 don't recommend going past a 150 shot on stock block.
lol well yeah of course they won't recommend it. They don't want to be responsible if anything happens. Trust me on race fuel the motor can take it. I personally know guys with DE's doing 150+ shot on stock blocks and those motors aren't nearly as stout as the VHR so what's another 40hp? |

100 octane, 1 or 2 step colder plugs, and taking 2-4 degrees out of the tune will be safe to run a 150 shot. Rule of thumb with nitrous is don't go over 50% of the motors original hp figures. Run wet kit with a tune and a little on the richer side. You can do an NA tune with a wet kit and run .02 larger pill than "calculated" on the fuel side to be safe also.
But I have also heard horror stories with the ZEX brain. It's an awesome system IF yours works flawlessly. I had a friend who had a bad box straight from the start. Another that failed halfway into the tuning session and his 3rd box failed 3 months after that. Originally my kit I had built for my Z was a full dyno tune fogger kit with all the bells and whistles available.

I've really thought about switching out the box but I am unsure what kit I could go with and what would have to be rewired. I am guessing I can just the solenoids and it would be fine wouldn't?

Finally
Just got the dyno sheet from Z1. At this time they do not want to continue use with the nano system as they feel it is the reason of a complete failure last time.

THank you yes 100 shot
They are saying that they feel the previous failure was too much cylinder pressure

I was at 440 with my NX kit... With old exhaust very restrictive. Probably would have hit 450 rwhp with the motordyne I have.

NOS noob here.. What is the purpose of going SPPP SPHHH before you run? It is priming some line with the gas or something? It looks cool every time i see it.
