Oil Catch Can and FI
So now that I got my car back, I have been truly looking over everything that had to do with my TT install.
I saw that Jnaut installed a Cusco Oil Catch Can on my car. However right now the online PCV lines attached to the catch can are the PCV inlet (top of valve covers) that used to be connected to the intake. Since GTM TT kits don't have anywhere to connect that PCV line (inlet on top of valve cover) to the intake, what have others done? I am going to take pics now of how it is installed and post them in next 30 min. |

Here are the pictures:
Here is passenger side PCV inlet (fresh air) Here is where the tube crosses over to driver side and towards catch can. Here is driver side PCV inlet (fresh air). From there the two lines are tee'd off and connect to the oil catch can (the outlet of the oil catch can). The PCV outlets are not connected to the oil catch can and are still going from front of manifold back to the back of the manifold (vacuum). The catch can is doing nothing. Am I wrong? |

In our Supercharger Installation manual, we tee the PCV lines together and page 71 & 72 shows how we did that. Much tidier than what you've got going on there with the zip tie to the upper radiator hose. Anyway, I would check the turbo inlet pipes to make sure the 3/8" NPT to 5/8" barb fittings are installed. If neither pipe has it, then you need to pull one or both off, drill & tap the pipe, install a fitting and route the PCV line to the pipe. Make sure that the PCV line isn't going get caught up in any moving components or rub on any sharp edges/components in the engine bay. Here are the links to the instruction manuals I referenced in this post: Twin Turbo http://www.gtmotorsports.com/Manuals...structions.pdf Supercharger http://www.gtmotorsports.com/Manuals...structions.pdf |

Same thing as what Mike said, the PCV hose should run from a fitting on each banks inlet pipe (has filter) to the valve cover.
as for the catch can (@ Mike) your saying to "T" both off and run a line to the catch can that way? This is what I was thinking when I seen your original post OP but I would like to clearify what Mike was saying. |

Don't forget that you would have to either cap off, or plug the other turbo inlet pipe. Again, there's more than one way to go about this whole venture of adding a catch can. Whatever suits you...just make sure you think it through. |

Also since I have Motordyne Manifold, my PCV outlets are already tee'd off so its easy to route a catch can. Jnaut just obviously didnt know what he was doing or just didnt care. Not sure what was the case. |
