But it was a very small panel filter that attached to the inlet. I was thinking if you took something like a turbo trumpet (inlet horn) and made a cover filter for it that it could work. No, I have not seen what S&R did, and to be honest it does not matter to me. The proof is in the numbers, and those are posted above. If it works, why fix it?

With the twin scroll kit, this is what you get:





...and you just can't beat having a cone air filter directly on the turbo inlet.
