Nice!
I can see mine! Looks awesome! |
Wish you were better already!
Glad to see the progress though! I see mine too :excited: |
Well, even with me moving at half speed, I hope to have all the fabrication done by Sunday nigh of this week. All the intercooler pipes have been cut, and all the sections between the turbo and FMIC are welded up. So on the IC sice I still have to fabricate the charge pipes that go from the IC outlets to the TB's.
After that, I am going to make all the oil lines, and then start preparing things for shipping. |
Missed you bud had us worried for a bit. Glad your feeling good enough to work.
|
I know it's probably a bit early to be looking this far in advance and you are just trying to get the first batch out the door, but do you have a rough timeline of when you think the next set would be ready to ship? I'm just looking like +- 2 months here nothing in particular.
Hope you get to feeling better man. |

On page 70 of the install manual...and there is still the fuel pump, charge pipes (FMIC to TB), down pipe and recirc system to cover...
There is a lot of large color pictures :) This thing will cost $50 to print on some nice glossy paper. On the other hand, IC pipes are 90% complete. |
Sunday night...and I just got in from the shop.
It seems that there is always more work to be done than I think....not sure how that works. Anyway, I am starting a large pile (not an actual pile, but neatly stacked) pipes that have been completed, and can be wrapped. It looks great…and I am happy that this is getting closer to the end. All the aluminium pipes have been fabricated, with MAF housings welded on. These are now ready for the final finish. I still have to weld the BOV flanges, waste gate flanges, and manifold 3-bolt flanges. The manifolds have gone in and out of the jigs half a dozen times (each). I am checking clearances on these every time welding is done on them….these have to be perfect (not that the rest don’t). I will probably take next Friday off from the day job, and start packaging. Once I get one kit packed up, I will know the box dimensions and weight. From there I will be sending out PM’s on the balances due. Once those are in, shipping will commence. That is the schedule that I am going to try and stick to. On a more personal note, I have another doctor’s appointment in the morning…ultrasound. Hope to get some good news, or at least something more than hearing the doctor say: “I don’t know what is causing all the pain”…fingers crossed. |
Sasha, I hope you get the answers you need at your next Doctor appointment.
Also, thanks for the updates. |
Thanks for the updates and good luck with the doctor's appointment! Take some pain meds before the ultrasound since you are already in pain - sometimes they press pretty hard with those ultrasound probes.
|
Sounds like you are making great progress with the kits Sasha! Looking forward to hearing the reviews on the kits as people install them.
Any updates on the canned tune from Vince? Is it going to be based on James' tune? |

This would mean proper adjustments made in the proper tuning tables. I know one of the guys that purchased the kit will be going down there (from Ontario) in the spring for a tune, and that would be the perfect opportunity for this. The last kit was supposed to go to Vince, so he can install it on a customer’s car and build the map. Looks like the customer decided to wait a bit longer, so that plan has foiled. |

Tonight I need to weld in the BOV flanges and the IC piping is then 100% complete. Should have everything done this week. So, things are looking good. |
