Using the OEM exhaust or Nismo exhaust would be corking the system. If you're looking for full potential, the less restriction the better.

Very true. You really want to have straight through mufflers with any turbo system. The OEM (including all Nismo versions) have baffled rear mufflers, and these would be rather restrictive for FI applications.





Now, to sum up the install and the first kit built from the jigs. Everything went well. There is a small adjustment made on the collector pipes, but that is all. The rest bolted up just perfect, this includes the down pipes and the recirc pipes. FMIC piping was also bang on, and fit perfect.

Now I am ready to start production, although a lot of stuff is already cut and ready for assembly. As mentioned before all the brackets are already built and ready for packing. Just have to do the the exhaust side of things, and charge pipes.

Sasha,

I will have lots of time to clean up the engine bay over the winter . I do love the exhaust sound, not to loud but very deep sounding and sounds amazing when downshifting with the rev matching. I will get a quick clip of it for you guys trying to decide between the resonated and non resonated FI systems for Sasha's kit, unless of course he already took a sound clip of the car.

Just giving you a hard time....I have the right to do it now .

I have not taken any sound clips so feel free to do that if you want. I am glad you are happy with it though, it is such a personal preference thing with the sound/tone. Next summer you and James have to line them up at the track, after you upgrade the clutch of course.

Please do this (sound clip)!

Im debating if I should sell my Berk exhaust and buy the FI, or try to find someone around here to make new pipes going from the turbo piping to the Berk mufflers, thus eliminating the resonators.

where did you come from

Anyway. If you made a kit for a G37 Coupe would I have to configure a slightly different route for the tubing to clear the Transfer Case?

Everything you have made is constructed with a considerable amount of craftsmanship, amazing results for a one man band!

^ a G37 with a 5at might have a chance since the trans isn't as big, a 7at + awd will not work because it's just not enough space, there isn't even enough space to fit the ART pipes, so for sure a turbo won't fit

Black, polished is optional. Would have to check on that if it is ever requested.

My experience with polished though is that it only looks good for a short time. Even after installing a set of polished pipes, the finger prints/markings can make it looks sub par. It is one of those things that need to be handled with white gloves.
