Man I'm in a dilemma deciding on this kit and the Z or modding a C6.

Around here everyone and their brother has a modded C6... Very rare to see a Z, let alone a 500+whp Z.

Its mainly the cost of modding the Z and the gains I get out of doing so. Like I said I have alot of thinking to do. But this kit is truly the best way to go.

Hi Sasha, I received the scavenge pump earlier this week. I'm trying to resist the temptation to take it apart to see how it ticks too ... lol :^)

Luckily, I already have a CRIMPING TOOL FOR WEATHERPACK CONNECTORS DELPHI # 12014254 - 402

Good stuff, but you won't need the crimping tool. The harness that I send out will have the male ends already crimped. All you need to do is plug it in...you can find some other wires to crimp if you wish.. I will also send out a roll of teflon tape for those fittings, so you don't need to purchase anything.

No special tools needed here..

That is correct, all the fittings will be installed on the oil filter relocation kits as well. So, all you got to do is run the hoses, and they will each have a lable at the ends, indicating where they go. The scavenge pump also has the fuses installed already as well...just connect to bat ground, positive terminal and plug the pump in.

I go to great length to make this as easy/smooth as possible.

You just have to get the oil for the oil change due to the oil pan spacer install.

so how do the gains stack up with a twin turbo kit like the GTM or Greddy? i thought this was supposed to be a more affordable kit also, but the price looks about the same as the GTM kit. Are the savings mainly in install time/labor costs?

Please have a closer look at the details.

-750cc fuel injectors with this kit 600cc injectors with the twin kits
-340lph fuel pump with this kit, 255lph fuel pump with twin kits
-Complee oil cooler kit with this kit
-Oil pan spacer with this kit (no need to drill/tap OEM pan)

That alone is about $600 worth of upgrades. Then on top of that this kit will cost you about $1500 less when it comes to the install.

Sorry, but I am not a big gearhead so I didn't know enough to know about the upgrades. I am just looking at overall final kit costs. $1500 is a significant savings for install labor, though. Maybe when I have replenished my savings (just bought a place), you'll have a version for the 7at.

No worries, just thought I point that out. It can easily be overlooked. I think a comparable twin kit (power wise) is about $700 more on top of the $600 worth of upgrades, then you still have the $1500 install difference. It does add up to a good chunch of change.
