Wow, such a clean design.

will you be able to provide an option to have a high flow cat welded into your downpipe with this kit? (100 cell)

NitrousZ34 09-14-2012 02:29 AM

Thank you for the quick responses. This may be a dumb question but why did you go with a 30 row instead of a 34 row? I dont know the real cooling difference between the two so you probably based this off of what you thought would work better. Is there any relation to how big your oil cooler is, to the amount of hp it allows you to have?

Maybe I'll sell the Viper and get a cheap 370Z and throw this kit on it?:stirthepot:

To be honest even a smaller 16 row oil cooler will do just fine. Unless you are taking the car to the track all the time, there really is no need for a massive oil cooler. Even the 30 is huge.

The 16 row I put on James's car is 16 row 9.5"x9"x2" core, and it is keeping his oil temperature rather low. I am sure he can chime in since he sees the gauge every day.

This kit will kick serious butt on the road. It is clean, quiet and super strong. I thought it ran flawless thru the dyno testing and sounded incredible. Super easy plumbing and simple install make this a win.

Ease of install alone makes this kit superior to most everything else. The pure artwork of the welding is just gravy... :leghump:

If I was in the market for boost, this is DEFINITELY the kit I would go with.

Kudos to Sasha and James for pioneering this kit.

Sorry I missed this one. It is possible but it would have to be a compact catalytic converter.

In progress...looking at completing the jigs in the next two weeks. At that point another customer will be in for a turbo install. At that time I can also confirm that the jigs are 100% good, and that the pipes that come off of it (the jigs) are fitting well. This is just another one of those steps that needs to be taken to ensure quality and fitment.

I have been talking to Vince@r/t regarding base maps for the turbo kit. We feel like we can provide a solid map to get you guys rolling and on the road right after the install. The map is based off of the test car, and of course will be a bit more conservative because of the different fuels that people will end up using in different parts of the country. So all your maps will come from the best UpRev tuner around...and that is another step in making this a great option for those looking for boost. Of course it is always a good idea to strap the car on a dyno to verify that all things are working well, and as they should.

I have also been working with Tony at Fast Iintentions and it looks like the F.I dual 2.5" exhaust will be available for purchase from me, only with the purchase of a turbo kit. We also talked about getting a non resonated exhaust with the kit since the turbo will act as a large muffler to quiet things down. I know that with the test car the exhaust is very quiet, so with the resonators out it will allow for a bit more agressive sound for those that prefer it.

So, things are looking good, and I am very excided to work with Tony at F.I and Vince@r/t to bring the community a great single turbo kit.

I have ordered enough hardware to build 6 kits to start, so full on fabrication will start shortly.

Time to start the OFFICIAL list of people that are serious about purchasing the kit.

Very very interested, although I have a G, everything should hook up pre-exhaust? I know you mentioned it earlier but it's a little hard through my phone.

sfearl1 09-20-2012 10:42 PM

Sasha, I know I asked you this a while back, but it looks like you're moving along here ahead of schedule. Do you think a kit can be here by November 9th-ish? Seb and Greg are making a trip to my neck of the woods for a tuning trip that weekend. That would be a motivating factor for me to purchase this kit asap.

I don't see any reason why this would not bolt up to a G37 with a manual gearbox.

I am sorry but I just can't make that date. It will take a week in transit alone...and I would not want to tell you yes, you book/pay for tuning and the kit is not there on time. At the same time I really want to make sure that everything that goes out is 100%, and that the installs are as easy/simple as possible.

I will never tell a customer that I can deliver something say in one month when in reality it will take two....just not how I operate. I hope you understand and still end up buying a BP turbo kit when it is available.
