Why doesn't my turbo look like the one in the manual when being clocked? Is this positioning on mine correct? Is this the difference between journal bearing and ball?

I believe you have a journal bearing turbo? The one in the manual is a ball bearing i think. I could be wrong. You may have it clocked incorrectly too.

I think you need to rotate everything 180 degrees so that the oil inlet fitting is facing the camera?

Mine is on left.
The manual is on right.
I have a ball bearing. I HOPE!

Does your tag say ball bearing? Mine does (you can see it in the picture).

The centre section is upside down in your picture, where the oil drain is up top. The rest is fine, and you have the BB turbo :)

This is what a BB turbo centre section looks like:

and this is what the JB looks like:

There is a clear visual difference between the two, where the BB has the "vanes" and the JB does not.

Also, when you go to stab that bad boy in there, leave the compressor housing loose. Fit everything and make sure the outlet mates up well with the charge pipe going forward (it's a pain in the ***) effectively clocking as you go. Then tighten the compressor bolts that you can get to to lock down the clocking. Pull the turbo. Tighten everything one last time and then throw it back in.

I found this the easiest way to ensure nothing rubs without clocking the turbo multiple times.

Anyone knows the oil filter part number for our V1.0 kit? Not quite sure if we still use the OEM filter with the oil filter re-locator plate.

I have been getting a large number of PM's recently, and everybody is asking when the next round of kit will be out.

I was hoping to fill a few order this summer, but unfortunately I have been dealing with some lower back issues. My left hip is about 3/8" higher than my right, and it is causing some nerve pinching which is causing some pain and limited motion. This stems back to my basketball days, and me primarily jumping off of my left leg. Over time it just got jammed, and now is causing some problems.

I do have a three week vacation coming up, and hope to get enough R&R in to get things back to normal.

The plan is to get back in to production at the beginning of September at which point I plan on building ten kits. I do still have some (4 I think) V1.5 kits that are 75% complete, so a good number of kit will be available later in the year.

A package arrived about a week ago:

20 intercoolers for the VHR kits...so things will happen.

For those waiting patiently...I do appreciate your patience.
