I am not sure how the cats can transfer heat from one location to the next. From my understanding the cats act like a sponge for heat. If it absorbs the heat, not sure how much of it is really sent down the rest of the exhaust pipe.
If you are pushing more power, the car is bound to make more heat. The increase heat will destroy those cats. I have shown proof of it on many other cars in the other STS thread. If you do a search you will find many more that had destroyed their turbos or had bent blades because of the cats coming apart. |
