Light clutch and fly, 2.5 down pipes, unorthodox pulley, greddy turbo tic exaust, greddy profec boost controller, 11psi, pump gas, on 295\30r 19 wheels and tires. Listed the wheels and tires cuz it makes a huge difference in power. The stock wheels and tires probably wouldve made a little more since i have 2 coats of powder coat on the wheels.

Im looking to do some fuel upgrades and turn it up just a lil bit. I wonder if sam would have something he would recommend on that. I think this engine can hold a bit more with the right tune. Jon a z1 aint no joke when it comes to tuneing so I have faith if he says we can get more out of it i think we can.

Sick! I'm pushing 8-9 PSI with the MBC right now. Response feels great with it installed. This weekend I'll see how much power I'm putting down, but the guesstimate is a low 430-450 whp range.

Sounds like a plan. Don't forget about you Greddy bretheren as well. Hopefully my ride will be finished up soon. Wassup man?

LafitteZ:

Awesome build and dyno dude! I am sure that there will be folks that hunt for number like yours. I was thinking about doing something similar for hi and lo boost (7-8 PSI lo and 11-12 hi).

I went on the track my first time in a manual with this car about 3 months ago and i had a couple boost leaks in the car that i didnt even know about till the day after when i did a boost leak test. I was on kuhmo exta 295/30r19 and i couldnt get it to hook at all in either boost level but my best time was a low boost run at 8 psi and i ran a 12.00 at 122 trap. thats after about 12 runs.

When you refer to boost leak test exactly how do you do this.

That's not bad for street tires. Throw some drag radials on there and watch the times drop.

I picked up some cheap Cobra R knock off wheels for my Challenger for $100 each and some M&H drag radials. I shaved 8/10 of a second off my best 1/4 mile time the first time I used them over the 295/35/20 Nitto Invos I run on the street.

Basically you block off one air filter pipe and you put a boost leak tester with a air gauge and valve on the other air filter and you pump the system up with a compressor like you would blow a tire up and you put pressure in it as if the turbos are running and you listem for leaks in the system because theres alot of plumbing in these kits. Its a must for anyone with a boosted car period. leakes in the system will cause your car to run funny most of the time causeing a richening effect because the air from the turbos or supercharger isnt getting tho the engine. I installed some widebands so i can tell know when i have a leak somewhere because of that richening affect and the time it takes to boost up. I still do manual checks regularly especially after running it really hard.

Yea I didnt really build this car for a drag strip queen I really did it for a daily driver and take it to a road course and run down those nice fansy vettes and high end cars. They **** a brick when I come flying by in the straights and the cant touch me in the curves. I have sways and coils too so the car handles just like it runs. Syncro rev is the **** with turbos!!!!! i down shift and when the throttle gets blipped those turbos are ready to come alive out of the curves.

Yeah, I built my Challenger to play around on the street and go to car shows, but it's too much power to turn loose anywhere but the track. Weighing 4300lbs it's not much of a road course car, but does the business at the drag strip with 600RWHP and 625RWTQ.

I wanna get the Z out to a road course. This thing handles like a go kart!

Any problems with your turbo setup at all?
