Hold on just a little longer guys, we're almost there.

SAM@GTM 08-29-2012 12:17 PM

It is a very slow process between making instruction and parts pick list, but we are getting there. Here are few pics for now, more to come soon .

Wow. Awesome looking setup, but will the radiator get any flow behind the twin intercoolers and what looks like 4 oil/trans coolers?

Sam, as a full system been built/installed/tested yet so we can get some ideas as to numbers and amount of labor needed, or is it not quite into pre-production yet?

The purpose of this thread is to show what we're doing with this design idea. When we get it on the dyno, you guys will be some of the first to know.

For installation time, we are estimating 16 hours since we were able to leave a lot of the factory components and accessories undisturbed. Overall, it is a very straightforward kit to install. Several systems have been sold already and the parts we are installing right now are our production parts.

LukasC 08-29-2012 06:51 PM

I noticed that too thats a lot of stuff blocking the radiator will there be problems with covering it that much?

It's a great looking kit so far! Without asking you to divuldge too much info, will the 2 SC's be comparable to the single SC stage 2 kit, or will it fit somewhere else?

Staples 08-30-2012 11:00 AM

More torque.... build power quicker. It's similar to a single turbo / twin turbo difference

Just like the twin turbo setup. The 1000hp intercooler covers the radiator. It's fine.

Yes, but this has an extra layer completely blocking the radiator. So it's IC -> intermediate coolers -> radiator, rather than HUGE IC -> radiator.

Oil coolers are typically mounted between the intercooler and radiator on our Twin Turbo Kits as well. No difference really. Just bear in mind that there is always going to be a compromise somewhere.

Here's an updated picture of our Twin S/C. We're just finalizing the belts right now.

looks beautiful I'm sure it will have great dyno results!.. GTR's here we come!

ANMVQ 09-02-2012 09:32 AM

UM maybe not important but I can not see the radiator.??

marrim 09-02-2012 12:50 PM

Trust us, the radiator is still in there. Somewhere. I Think? Hey Bob, did we put the radiator back in the car?

i love how every time i finally talk myself out of going FI on my Z and save up for a GT-R you guys always have something new and awesome for FI :shakes head:

awesome job guys twin superchargers look sick. excited to see some numbers and then try to talk myself out of TT and now TSC lol

also sidenote: will there be any complications with this kit and a 7AT transmission? i dont know if its been talked about yet in this thread.

SS_Firehawk 09-07-2012 02:43 PM

Will these work with LTH's at all? I understand it's still being tested, just wondering if it's already been identified. Same question goes for really large oil coolers. I have a 72 row on my vehicle.

Yep, the 7AT blowing up from all the power! :stirthepot:

ah what else is new. superior to a 6MT in all ways except overall strentgh :shakes head: that or $7k tranny upgrade which is a bit expensive.

Based on the pics they've posted, I would imagine the 72 row is going to be in the way... :ugh2:

Who is to say that the AWD Transmission will not hold up to the power from this new GTM Twin SC KIT. Matter of fact their are enough 370Z and G37X putting down those High Number with the GTM or Stillen Kit's. Preventative measure ought to be taken as in Transmission cooler (25 Rows or Better), GTM VB upgrade and UPRev Line pressure increase will protect the car and lastly not beating on the CAR all day.

In the End, AWD is more superior (Faster) than the Manual, hands down. :tiphat:

Yes, LTH will fit.

Man, that's quite the oil cooler you have there. I'm sure there's a way to finagle it all together. You might have to double stack the two supercharger oil coolers on the opposite side of where you have your engine oil cooler mounted. That of course would require some massaging of the brackets I'm sure.

You mean 7AT, not AWD... right?? :ugh2: No one was talking badly about AWD?

I think I popped a chub. I was expecting the opposite. Makes my choices harder yet again!

Before I allow myself to get wood. What are the numbers, and how did the torque curve look?

I believe it is just now getting tuned out. No final numbers yet.

It is my car. I was told today that it was 450 RWHP and 380 lb of torque. Apparently, it takes 6-8 months to make a custom belt and so it will be hard to go to a smaller pulley. Sam is going to try to use smaller pulleys before I pick the car up on Saturday, but no guarantees. I had hoped for 650 BHP.

gabe3d 09-14-2012 04:58 AM

How much boost was your car running on for 450/380?

thats it? doesnt their single SC kit make around 500whp typically?

Yeah, and that is without the Motordyne Test Pipes, Stillen Exhaust, and Aqua-mist meth kit. I could have had my car back months ago, for less $ and more power. That is at 9-11lbs of boost. He is going to try to wrangle smaller pulleys on there, but without a full selection of belt sizes it will be really tough. I am sure the system has a lot of potential but that won't be for 8 months.
