your not the first to say that this car can hold 500+ stock..... im starting to believe it. also, random question since ive mentioned so many mods...... does anyone sell a CF driveshaft for the 370? i took the one on my old 09 off for various reasons i wont disclose..... and dear GOD its heavy. and ive even heard rumors that its actually partially carbon fiber ALREADY? really? i dont remember CF weighing a million pounds.

Ok Chii370 the Fast Intentions turbo kit does not make 450 whp @ 3.5k it makes 450 tq @ 3.5K. This is very impressive number and it is a very nice kit with some very solid numbers. I also would like to point out if your doing a build engine on a 370z you wont be doing cams our cars don't have any intake cams we have VVEL here is a link Nissan 370Z / G37 VQ37 VVEL camless intake valve system - YouTube There are only exhaust cam's from Jun that are not proven on a Boosted car I wouldn't even bother.


If you want low end TQ and power just go TT and be done with it built your motor and be done with it. I am still 3.7 with my built motor and I will be going for more power over the summer take at my charts for reference.

i agree, fully.... and i would LOVE to see the same numbers as you are, and i know what is required for the most part to do so. Thing is, putting 600 RWHP in a stock VQ will diminish the life span by a multiple of probably close to 100. i SERIOUSLY doubt even with simple day to day driving, not beating on it, that it would last much longer than 20-30k before it sends an important part of the engine into the road, through your hood, or into your dash. so a big thing for me is longevity. thats one reason why i have pretty high hopes for the TSC kit, from what ive HEARD superchargers are usually less "harmful" overall to your system in the long haul, due to typically lower boost pressures and various other things. i could be wrong, but thats what ive gathered. but i mentioned the FI kit because it was the first TT developed for the 370 so far that has seen numbers even close to that at such a low boost, and it also has the simplest plumbing setup ive seen as well. less complicated=good imo. considering the fact all of the parts will be installed by me, less is best.

also misread the dyno chart, my B. but anyway 450tq, thats even better lol.... tq=useable power converted to energy from the engine. not just magic equation numbers.

Torque kills stock motors not hp IMO

So tuning has to be good to keep a stock motor running for a long time with a lot of torque
Else your one hard pull to boom

Whats the weak spot in the VQ? The piston connecting rods? I thought the VQ was pretty rock solid until you start pushing its RPM limit a bit. Would imagine the boys at nissan set it at 7500 for a reason "nismo" ;p

I've been told the rods are the first thing to go. The oil pump gear has reportedly been the first point of failure if you raise the redline too far.

There were some minor delays for the past six weeks that slowed things down. Basically a previous shop had my O2 sensors wired wrong, the upstream senor in the LTH J tube, and the downstream O2 sensor in the freestream tube just after the merge collector. I have the pics in my journal, but don't want to post it in here as it really doesn't have to do with the kit it's self. Also found out CSF radiator won't work with this kit, Z1 hoses don't work as it has it's own, my AE performance oil cooler is too big, and won't work either...

Soooo.... I replaced it with GTM's 70mm radiator, SPAL fan and shroud, twin 25 row oil coolers, their new baffled oil pan, and had them take care of the sensors issues. Good news is the ECU isn't fried and only needed two new sensors. Posted a small thread on that issue too. Bad news? My wallet is feeling the pain of the upgrades. So with the help of GTM, I have a for sale thread going to help clear out everything that didn't fit and to recoup some lost money to fund this project. Hopefully it wraps up in the next month or so and GTM posts a thread on the project.
