Again, my vehicle is with GTM having this installed :) I have details in my sig link (omitted any $$$ info). Kit runs about $10k without install, it's on their site as well. Big reason I wanted this kit is because it clears long tube headers, anything above stage 1.5 supposedly had clearance issues.

That shouldn't really be that surprising, there are two superchargers after all.

Yea and there are 2 turbos in a twin kit and a big stage 2 kit for that is only 7-7500 depending on options.

What he said.

Low volume = higher cost. GTM will probably sell 10 of these total. It really is a solution looking for a problem.

SS_Firehawk 01-06-2013 11:10 AM

The problem it fixed was AWD auto G37's having little to no options for FI. They just released a TT kit for them as well. It isn't a high volume kit. They are made to order. There was a lot of fabrication and design to get it to market, the superchargers cost a couple thousand each, and the mounting brackets holding the superchargers and pulleys are expensive to manufacturer and low volume.

Hey Firehawk, can you post a video when you get your car back, or one from GTM, when you do the test drive. We all are super curious. Thanks!

SS_Firehawk 01-06-2013 08:18 PM

There will be updates as I get them. My test drive won't be till August unfortunately, out of the country...so I'll see what I can do in the interim.

SS_Firehawk 03-01-2013 01:08 PM

Not much, but here is a pic of the tear down. They started work earlier this month. A lot of other projects going on, but at least some updates will be coming along soon. Sucks knowing I won't be able to touch the car for another 6 months!

Edit-can't see everything b/c of angle of pic and foot stuck in my mouth!!!

SS_Firehawk 03-01-2013 03:30 PM

bumper, oil cooler, intakes, manifold, radiator drained, maybe another thing or two I can't see. They sent this to me on Monday. Anyways, they are putting on a lot of other things too that will slow things down. All that's in my build thread though. I just wanted to update this for everyone tracking the twin SC thread. Believe me Baer, I had similar thoughts, but in hindsight, it doesn't matter, I won't be home till August. So long as it's completed correctly, and gives me similar results as the stage 1.5's and 2's (your numbers look purty), I'll be happy.

In reality, they had my car since 04DEC. She's been waiting in line. With a pickup date in August, they don't have to worry about delivering mine any time soon.

This will be interesting to watch... I hope it all goes well for u Firehawk.

SS_Firehawk 04-18-2013 06:49 AM

Here are some updates Mike just sent. These are in my journal as well. They are also the same FMIC's found in the MHI kits, so it should look familiar. Hopefully there are some numbers to publish in the next 3-4 weeks. I'm just excited to finally see parts on the car :D
