Wow, bummer!

show2nite 09-24-2012 07:04 PM

I want to know what made homeboy change his mine when the kit is practically installed, and then to have a Engine problem which could of been resolved. However things may have boiled down to resources $$$$$$ Who knows.....that Sucks!

theaudir8fan 09-24-2012 07:20 PM

well if he wants a shot at getting a new engine under warranty, the car can't just go in with 2 SCs hanging on it

elperuano 09-24-2012 07:20 PM

Damn that sucks. So did OP get charged for any of this? He basically paid to have a twin charger on the car and then take it off before ever even driving it? I guess in the end it still worked out for Gtm! Wonder what changed the OP mind

Why does he need a new engine?

The car will be leaving in the same condition it arrived in...it didn't come in with a blown engine, and it won't be leaving with one either.

We called the owner on the Friday we did the forum update to let him know what we have to do to solve the code issue. Everything was fine on the phone, then the following Monday morning, the customer e-mailed us and said he would like to go back to stock and our reply was "sure, no problem".

The way we look at the situation is this: the GTM Twin Supercharger Kit is a really awesome product and we really want the first person that gets it installed to really want it. Plain and simple.

I was really looking forward to seeing this kit, and I also hope they do their next install on an AT. As this kit was supposedly developed for AWD and other g37 Platform and 370z platform.

Well i was referring to getting it covered under warranty at a dealership. But if the repair requires disassembly of the engine itself, they will probably just warranty for a new long block

Time to find the first dedicated 370z owner in line and drop it in that bad boy see how the z looks with this kit. We all want more power in the end no matter what we drive

Plenty of dedicated people. The money is most peoples problem lol. If money wasn't an issue they could keep my car for an entire year for all I care.

They currently have my car for this install. Should really see some headway towards the end of the month.

Don't get so butt hurt brother... It's the Internet!

I'm sure the engine took a hell of a beating with that amount of boost and R&D done on it

If you want a CA car to work on, you can have my 370Z, 7AT to test on...

Point blank: I won't pay you anything until it works though

(I believe the owner of this car had an ongoing rant with you, not looking to have one of those, hence the non payment until the car works, lol)

I really don't know why money is an issue... Most R&D builds warrant a free kit to the R&D car IMO...

DEpointfive0 01-05-2013 04:11 AM

Oh, also,
@GTM:
Why don't you just buy a used motor and experiment from there???

nklear 01-05-2013 05:13 AM

OP Shoot me a price. I am also in Cali. How much for kit and how much Installed?
