Sorry to hear that Spawn, judging from some of the posts they made about it being more of a cool factor I was worried the power wouldn't be that great.

Sorry to hear that Spawn, judging from some of the posts they made about it being more of a cool factor I was worried the power wouldn't be that great. For the meantime you'll be the only twin supercharged system out there, and hopefully GTM can get the numbers better or you'll be the only twin supercharged system out there.
Good luck to both parties involved, this is a step in the right direction and someone has to lead the way in this new design. It's not always pretty at first but I'm sure they'll do their best to make it right! |

However, that is on 91gas. He thinks he has a way to get the smaller pulleys and on Meth it should be over 700bhp. I'd be totally happy with that. I will post more as I know more. |

A little clarification. The car made 480whp, 360wtq on the first pull. In my opinion this is very good results for a new system on 91 octane and on a simple base map. Keep in mind that the ultimate goal right now is to stabilize the car and make sure that everything is functioning correctly. The system is far from done. So far all we have is about 7 - 9 dyno pulls since we are looking into VVEL lift variation between bank 1 and bank 2. This VVEL issue is definitely separate from the Twin Supercharger as the system is very unobtrusive and the VVEL system is not touched during installation. Also, having a VVEL code means that the engine is not running properly and is not ingesting air like should.
Right now, our main focus is ensuring that the system works properly and that this VVEL code is resolved. Once that is taken care of, we will be working on getting the power and torque. For now, that is not our primary concern. Sam |

I'll speak inOTE=Nixlimited;1916519]Even though you very clearly stated "700 BHP", it's probably safer to talk in WHP numbers around these parts to avoid any confusion.[/QUOTE]
Sorry about that. I am focused on BHP since my brother got the new GT500 and has 650bhp (supposedly). I will speak in whp from here on out. |

Update:
After spending the majority of the day checking the entire system for the cam timing issue, checking engine oil pressure all the way to pinout testing of the ECM. The only thing left in the system is the valve control solenoid. Everything is pointing to a failure in this component. Unfortunately, this solenoid is located behind the main supercharger bracket and will require the complete removal of both brackets to get to it. Below are a couple snapshots of what is happening with the solenoid. The one that is labeled "No Good" is the car we're working on. Notice how bank 2 solenoid voltage is flat lining vs. the "Good" one that is from a properly working car for comparison. Once we get this resolved, we will continue with the tuning. Sam |

hehe what fun would it be to build a kit from scratch and not run into a few bumps along the way

Update:
When the car threw the cam timing codes, we contacted the owner to advise him of the situation. While we had completed the system and the car was running on time per the owner's requested time frame, the car did have an issue that needed to be resolved. The owner decided to have us put the car back to stock instead of diagnosing and solving the issue to get the car running properly. Therefore, the results are on hold for the time being. The good news is that we are 60% done restoring the car back to stock and we have another car ready and available to get this system installed. So, our press release should happen sometime next week.
