I'm impressed. At first blush, I was like: "WTF???!! Look at how long the flappin' intake is....! Boost will come on somewhere between 2 seconds or two blocks of target...." After watching the vid, and looking closely at the chart, it's pretty damn good. It makes 300whp at 4400 RPM. Helloooo!! Now who's complaining??
The whole thing appears to smack of home-built mentality, but, truth is, it's out-of-the box thinking. America is good at that. I wish the purported pricing was less ($8000?), but from all appearances the labor savings and lack of other hardware needs makes this a value. Good for them. I will be looking forward to some other build threads and performance trials. I ain't looking back, but this ought to increase attendance in here. Coop

You've got to remember...I bought a lot of extras ...so everyone else's total could be about a grand or more less.
Just found the picture of my receipt ...with the turbo ceramic coating, and ball bearing upgrade and shipped was $6950. Last edited by tower74; 01-27-2012 at 03:27 PM. |

Thanks for all the questions and general interest guys! I will try to get on here at least a few times a week with answers and updates.

On that note we are also looking for an auto transmission car for an update. Quote:
The ceramic coating is standard on all of the STS turbo systems. The resonators are optional. I will modify the first post so that it includes some of our pricing on the base kit and some of the optional upgrades. The gauge is a PLX Devices DM-100 with the vacuum/boost & AFR modules. We carry the PLX gauge setups in house and install them all the time. It’s probably one of the cleanest gauge setups out there. We modified a autometer universal gauge cup to house both the gauge and our methanol lights. Quote:

As most people know by now the 370Z is susceptible to very high oil temperatures when driven hard in stock form. We carry the Z1 Motorsports oil cooler kit in house and recommend on all high performance 370z applications. It fits perfectly with the STS intercooler and intake pipes. The kit consists of a 34 row Setrab core, oil filter adapter plate and large application specific lines for a clean, easy install. |

I meant taking the car to a track and running her for several laps ,pushing hard .There is a consensus that the 370z with FI is not trackable 9 do to temp issues , brake overheating etc Thanks . This is something sts should really do they would get alot of buisness if you could mod and track this car . I think its one of the main reasons people are dumping the 370z for other cars IMHO.
