1000whp? Full carbon body?

Big leagues...what I don't understand is why you want to do that.

Could you tell us a little more about your purpose? It clearly isn't racing because no one goes racing with a 1000whp super modified engine. Is this going to be a show car?

Also, I hope you have a lot of money saved up. The engine build alone is going to be $15-20k if you are doing it right. The carbon body is going to be $5-10k if you do it right. That's without even talking about suspension, brakes and drivetrain. If you do those right, there's easily another $15-20k there too.

Those are just initial costs...assuming nothing ever goes wrong from there and you don't have to do any maintenance to your 1000whp motor.

^^ All true!!

Just make sure you contact a shop that is familiar with these cars, and has experience building these types of motors to handle 1,000hp!!

List of shops that have built 1,000+hp VQ's:

Intensepower
Injected Performance
Sound Performance

There are a few other shows at 700+, but haven't broken 1,000hp.....yet!

You would think someone spending such $$$$ on a build should know a TT setup has nothing to do with hood clearance...you would think

The whole stage thing has bothered me all the way back to the pre-Fast & Furious days. It seems like the meaning of "Stage 1 - x" is totally subjective. For instance GTMs stage 1 turbo might do ~500whp when JoeBlows Stage 1 does ~600whp, which ends up making the entire use of "Stage x" to describe modifications completely inconsequential.

I saw a rear mount turbo kit for a 350Z a while ago, similar to an F-Body setup.

Turbo-Kits.com - 09+ Nissan 370Z Twin Turbo Kits - VQ37VHR. yep stage 4 is 1000hp. Im saving up for it, half way there with $ for just the kit itself (not all the other stuff that will have to be done)

Stage 4 Turbo just add jet fuel. No need to mod the hood since it should mount in the back.

Example:
