not a bad idea, but Im on heavy 20's now since I sold my volks and the partout is next week.

It was a big surprise, I did not expect it to pull so hard.

I think that's just a matter of perspective (i.e. being in the passenger seat). I always feel like cars are stronger from the passenger seat. For example, in my STi, I felt like my 460WHP map was totally manageable from the driver's seat, but when I let other people drive it, it felt way stronger and was a bit scary.

BTW, what are you getting post-370?

well said, couldn't agree more. however, dct equipped M3 traps close to 115 and they are pretty fast up top. a supercharged 370z and a m3 would be a good race.

Every video I see of 400+ whp 370Z's is a blatant reminder that the car is only meant to have 300whp or so. They can't keep it planted, they shift it like a dump-truck because the short gearing makes that redline come up so FAST at that power level, etc. etc. etc.

If you want a 400+whp 370Z that's going to compete with a 'vette in the power department, you have a TON of work to do. The ENTIRE driveline has to be re-done. Not just the engine/power production aspect.

Not hating as I plan on trading for a '12 when they come out for various reasons discussed elsewhere, just observing, now that I own a 450whp car that was MADE to have 450whp. It's a totally different ballgame than some "tuner" car that suddenly has 150% the power it used to.

I think I have to disagree with you. You can get the traction control system, that will take care of the planting and all. My friends vette in all honesty doesn't really plant any better then mine does. He slides his *** out just as much as i can. Now maybe because he is modified but he has maybe like 75 more ponies to the wheel then me.

i have to disagree. coming from Evo and M3 i feel Z's stock gearing is way too tall. i raced an older cts-v once on highway it literally took forever to get out of 4th gear. hence why 4.08 equipped Z accelerate noticeable faster.

...and a ton more torque and a lot different power-band.

Can you floor your car and go WOT on good pavement without spinning? I can. TC off.

Just because an electronic nanny prevents you from spinning the tires by limiting power doesn't mean your car is handling the power efficiently. It just means it can't handle the power. The 370Z needs a LOT of change to handle it.

Ya the gearing feels very tall to me as well, but I'm also only running a lightly Modded Z.

I mean with 400+whp, not stock. Stock, I really liked the gearing, but then, I am used to American cars which are traditionally geared taller.

even for a 400whp vehicle i still feel the gearing is bit too tall for my liking. you should try a 400whp sti or evo it only takes a blink of an eye to run out of 8000rpm in 3rd...

however, american cars do have very very tall gearing. i can see why you are aren't used to it.

All that shifting slows you down. I don't like it.

This is exactly what I am looking for, I have spent several hours this week talking to Sam. TTs are so temping and I need to make a damn decision. To TT or not to TT?
